About the Opportunity

At Driscoll’s, we are passionate about delivering the finest berries to our customers every day. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Sales Manager to drive our commercial success in the UK market while leading and developing a high-performing sales team.
This is a key leadership role where you combine strategic account management, commercial ownership, and team development to deliver sustainable growth and build strong customer partnerships.

Responsibilities

As Sales Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of key retail customers and be responsible for both commercial performance and team leadership:


Account Strategy & Growth

  • Develop and execute customer growth strategies and joint business plans
  • Identify mid- to long-term opportunities across retail channels
  • Lead seasonal reviews and long-term planning cycles
  • Use market insights and data to drive category growth

Commercial Management

  • Deliver sales and margin targets across UK and imports
  • Optimise pricing, promotions, and commercial terms
  • Lead negotiations and drive efficiencies (e.g. SKU optimisation)
  • Own accurate demand forecasting through IBP processes
  • Balance growth with risk management (stock, supply-demand)

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with key retail stakeholders
  • Position Driscoll’s as a strategic category partner
  • Lead performance and business review meetings
  • Act as escalation point to ensure excellent service delivery

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Supply Chain, Finance, Product, and Technical teams
  • Align commercial plans with supply and operational capabilities
  • Provide market insights to support innovation and product strategy
  • Drive a strong “one team” mindset across the business

Execution & Performance

  • Ensure flawless execution of promotions and product launches
  • Monitor performance via KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools
  • Improve processes, efficiency, and ways of working

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team
  • Provide clear direction, feedback, and performance management
  • Drive engagement, accountability, and a strong sales culture

Candidate Profile

What you bring
You bring a strong commercial mindset combined with leadership capability and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You understand how to balance customer needs with business objectives and translate insights into actionable strategies that drive results.

  • Proven experience in sales or account management (FMCG/retail preferred)
  • Strong commercial acumen (pricing, forecasting, negotiations)
  • Experience in leading and developing teams
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into action
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

Nice to have:
• Experience with category management or shopper insights
• Background in cross-functional project leadership
• Degree in Business, Marketing, or similar
