SALES MANAGER
Industry: Information Technology (IT) & Oil and Gas
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers State
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: ₦400,000 - ₦600,000 Gross Monthly
We are seeking a highly driven, aggressive, and results-oriented Sales Manager with strong expertise in field sales, business development, and corporate relationship management within the IT and Oil & Gas sectors.
The ideal candidate must possess a strong hunter mentality with proven experience in radical street selling, enterprise sales, and revenue generation. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving strategic sales initiatives, identifying new business opportunities, expanding market presence, and closing high-value deals across both sectors.
Candidates must demonstrate excellent commercial acumen, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to thrive in a highly target-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive aggressive sales growth through direct field engagement, prospecting, and strategic business development activities.
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within the IT and Oil & Gas sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, key stakeholders, and decision-makers.
- Execute street-level sales campaigns and corporate marketing initiatives to improve market penetration and brand visibility.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and industry intelligence to identify emerging opportunities and trends.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive business proposals, presentations, and client negotiations.
- Achieve and exceed assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Manage the complete sales lifecycle from lead generation to contract negotiation, closure, and after-sales relationship management.
- Collaborate with technical and operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline reports, client databases, and performance records.
- Represent the company at industry exhibitions, networking events, conferences, and business engagements.
- Develop strategic account management plans to maximize customer retention and repeat business.
- Monitor customer feedback and market dynamics to improve service offerings and competitive positioning.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Information Technology, or any related discipline.
- Minimum of 5–7 years proven experience in sales and business development within the IT and Oil & Gas industries.
- Strong experience in direct field sales, radical street selling, and corporate business development.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
- Proven ability to close large and complex business deals.
- Strong understanding of enterprise technology solutions and Oil & Gas operational processes.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong networking and relationship management capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
- Existing network within the Oil & Gas and corporate sectors will be an added advantage.
