Job Description

A well-established and growing insurance agency is seeking a Sales Manager to lead, coach, and grow a dynamic sales team while continuing to drive new organic business. This role is ideal for a high-performing Senior Sales Producer who is ready to step into leadership and have a real seat at the table.

P&C or Commercial Lines background preferred, though candidates from other segments will be considered.

The Job:

  • Lead, mentor, and coach a hand-picked sales team, fostering accountability and consistent growth
  • Collaborate closely with executive leadership to develop and execute sales strategies and growth initiatives
  • Maintain oversight of the renewal book of business, ensuring strong retention and proactive issue resolution
  • Identify and drive cross-sell opportunities across existing accounts
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of new business through networking, referrals, and community involvement
  • Partner with internal teams and external partners to support business development and seamless client service
  • Support producers at varying experience levels, from new hires to seasoned sales professionals
  • Participate in and help implement a newly invested consultative sales training program
  • Monitor sales performance metrics, provide feedback, and help shape best practices
  • Continue selling if desired, or focus primarily on managing and developing the sales team
  • Attend sales meetings, carrier meetings, training sessions, and agency events

Client & Operational Responsibilities:

  • Oversee accurate rating, quoting, proposing, payment collection, and documentation processes
  • Ensure agency management system records are complete and up to date
  • Collaborate with quality control and service teams to maintain high documentation and compliance standards
  • Act as a liaison between clients and internal departments to resolve issues efficiently
  • Uphold the agency’s commitment to exceptional client service in every interaction
