YOUR ROLE

The Business Development Manager is responsible for defining and executing commercial strategies aligned with the Group’s objectives to maintain existing business, expand the customer portfolio, and achieve annual sales targets across multiple logistics business units.

The role supports and guides the sales team in generating new business opportunities, strengthening client relationships, and delivering profitable growth through effective sales and business development initiatives.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Commercial Strategy & Business Growth

  • Define and execute business development strategies aligned with the Group's objectives to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Develop and implement business plans across logistics business units, ensuring the achievement of sales targets and sustainable growth.
  • Identify new market opportunities, strengthen the customer portfolio, and contribute to strategic commercial initiatives.

Customer & Business Development

  • Lead customer acquisition, retention, and growth strategies for key accounts.
  • Drive commercial negotiations, oversee major tenders and proposals, and ensure profitable customer relationships.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Drive the effective use of the CRM system to manage the sales pipeline, monitor business opportunities, track customer interactions, and ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.

Sales Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop the sales team to deliver commercial objectives and foster a high-performance culture.
  • Monitor team performance and ensure successful execution of sales strategies and business plans.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with management, product owners, operations, and marketing teams to align commercial priorities and deliver business objectives.
  • Promote collaboration across functions to ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Performance Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and commercial standards.
  • Drive process improvements, performance monitoring, and operational efficiency initiatives.

Reporting & Market Intelligence

  • Manage commercial budgets and provide regular performance updates to senior management.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to support strategic decision-making.

Representation & Stakeholder Management

  • Represent the company in industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support business growth and strategic objectives.

Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Who We Are Looking For

Professional Knowledge & Skills:

  • Master’s degree in business, Logistics, Transportation, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of management experience in business development or commercial leadership roles. Experience in the transportation and logistics industry is required.
  • Strong expertise in developing and executing commercial strategies and business development programs across logistics products and services.
  • In-depth understanding of operational and commercial requirements related to air, ocean, and logistics solutions, with strong knowledge of commercial and international trade law.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Moroccan market.
  • Proven project management and change management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and CRM systems.
  • Strong knowledge and effective use of CRM tools for pipeline management, opportunity tracking, sales forecasting, and performance reporting.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly within CEVA's area of operations.
  • Fluency in English and French, both written and spoken.
