Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and commercially driven Sales Leader UK & Ireland to accelerate the growth of our HVAC & Controls and Plumbing business across the United Kingdom and Ireland, with a strong focus on the WHO segment. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing strategic customer relationships, driving specification and pull-through activities, and leading commercial initiatives across the UK& Ireland market.
This role requires a strong combination of leadership, market understanding, strategic thinking, and hands-on commercial execution.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop and execute the UK sales strategy for HVAC & Controls and Plumbing
  • Drive sustainable sales growth and market share expansion
  • Build strong relationships with key customers, consultants, installers, contractors, wholesalers, and specification partners
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and vertical market approaches
  • Lead and support specification-driven sales and pull strategies
  • Work closely with marketing, product management, customer service, and operations to ensure alignment and execution
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities
  • Deliver accurate sales forecasting, pipeline management, and business reporting
  • Support pricing strategies and commercial negotiations
  • Coach, motivate, and develop the UK commercial organization where applicable

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 7–10 years of commercial experience within HVAC, plumbing, Controls, water technologies, or building services
  • Proven leadership experience managing sales teams and driving commercial performance
  • Strong understanding of the UK& Ireland HVAC and plumbing distribution landscape
  • Experience working with specification sales, consultants, contractors, and wholesale channels
  • Demonstrated success in delivering growth strategies and business development initiatives
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Financial and commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and sales forecasts
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and sales analytics tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced international matrix organization
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the UK
  • Full UK driving license required

Management

The internal sales manager & the team of regional sales managers will be direct reports of this role.

  • Proven commercial leadership experience within HVAC & Plumbing
  • Strong knowledge of the UK market and WHO channel landscape
  • Experience with specification sales and project-driven business
  • Strategic mindset combined with hands-on execution capabilities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to build long-term customer partnerships
  • Results-oriented with strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Experience working in an international matrix organization is an advantage
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and data-driven sales management
