SALES LEAD GENERATION (SLG) SPECIALIST

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client, a leading organisation within the oncology and healthcare sector, is seeking a proactive, commercially minded and results-driven Sales Lead Generation (SLG) Specialist to drive patient and corporate leads, develop new business opportunities, nurture prospects and convert qualified leads into paying clients.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the complete sales cycle—from lead generation and qualification through consistent follow-up, conversion and relationship management—while consistently working towards agreed sales and revenue targets.

Experience in healthcare, HMO, health insurance, hospitals, pharmaceuticals or related services will be a strong advantage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead Generation & Prospecting


  • Generate qualified patient and corporate leads through outbound calls, social media, referrals, networking, partnerships and other channels.

  • Identify and prospect potential patients, corporate organisations, HMOs, health insurance providers and referral partners.

  • Research and identify new business opportunities within the healthcare and corporate market.

  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects.

  • Proactively pursue new opportunities and convert prospects into business.

Lead Qualification & Sales Conversion


  • Qualify leads based on their needs, requirements, level of interest and purchasing potential.

  • Follow up consistently with prospects through phone calls, WhatsApp, email and other approved communication channels.

  • Nurture prospects throughout the sales cycle and move qualified leads towards conversion.

  • Present the organisation's services professionally and respond accurately to enquiries.

  • Handle customer concerns and objections effectively.

  • Confidently close qualified opportunities and achieve agreed sales targets.

  • Ensure a smooth transition from sales conversion to service delivery.

Relationship Management


  • Build and maintain strong relationships with patients, corporate clients, HMOs, healthcare partners and referral sources.

  • Develop referral networks that generate consistent business opportunities.

  • Maintain regular communication with prospects and existing clients.

  • Identify opportunities for repeat business, referrals, cross-selling and client retention.

  • Represent the organisation professionally at meetings, networking events and business development activities.

Corporate & HMO Business Development


  • Identify and approach potential corporate clients and HMO/health insurance partners.

  • Develop and maintain corporate healthcare and referral partnerships.

  • Schedule and participate in client presentations, meetings and business development engagements.

  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new commercial opportunities.

  • Recommend strategies to improve patient acquisition, corporate partnerships and sales conversion.

CRM & Sales Pipeline Management


  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date database of leads, prospects, interactions and conversion status.

  • Record calls, follow-ups, appointments and sales activities in the CRM or approved tracking system.

  • Maintain a structured daily and weekly follow-up pipeline.

  • Ensure all qualified leads are followed up within agreed timelines.

  • Prepare regular reports on lead generation, conversion, appointments and revenue performance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration


  • Work closely with clinical, administrative, marketing and management teams to ensure effective lead-to-client conversion.

  • Coordinate appointments and ensure prospects receive relevant information before service delivery.

  • Communicate customer requirements and feedback to the appropriate internal teams.

  • Support marketing campaigns by following up and converting campaign-generated leads.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)

Performance will be measured based on:


  • Number of qualified leads generated.

  • Lead-to-appointment conversion rate.

  • Lead-to-client conversion rate.

  • Follow-up completion rate.

  • Number of appointments generated.

  • Revenue generated from converted leads.

  • Number of new corporate and HMO relationships established.

  • Customer retention and referral rate.

  • Sales pipeline value and activity levels.

  • Achievement of agreed monthly and quarterly sales targets.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate should possess:


  • A Bachelor's degree or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, Communications, Healthcare Management or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in sales, lead generation, business development, customer acquisition or a related role.

  • Proven experience generating, qualifying, nurturing, following up and converting leads.

  • Experience selling HMO, health insurance or healthcare services will be a strong advantage.

  • Previous experience in a hospital, healthcare, pharmaceutical, HMO, medical or related environment is highly desirable.

  • Demonstrable ability to meet or exceed sales targets.

  • Strong knowledge of CRM systems and sales tracking tools.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant sales tools.

The successful candidate should be confident in prospecting, comfortable making outbound calls, skilled in handling objections and capable of consistently converting qualified leads into paying clients.

Experience selling HMO, health insurance, healthcare, medical or related services will be a significant advantage.
