The Sales Lead is responsible for driving sales growth, market share expansion, retailer success, and profitability across assigned markets through the leadership and development of Customer Success Managers and Sales Coordinators. This role partners closely with sales, operations, customer care, and facility leadership to execute growth strategies, improve operational performance, and deliver exceptional retailer and homeowner experiences. The position has no direct account management responsibility and focuses on team leadership, business performance, and strategic execution.

Primary Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Business Growth

  • Develop and execute sales strategies that drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share.
  • Identify opportunities to expand retailer engagement, product penetration, and market development.
  • Monitor sales performance, market trends, and competitive activity to drive informed business decisions.
  • Partner with the Brand Experience Manager to achieve organizational objectives and growth initiatives.

Retailer & Customer Experience

  • Maintain executive-level relationships with key retail partners.
  • Support business reviews, issue resolution, and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Partner with Customer Care and operational leaders to improve retailer and homeowner satisfaction.

Strategic Planning & Market Insights

  • Analyze market conditions, customer needs, competitive activity, and industry trends.
  • Provide recommendations on growth opportunities, product positioning, and business strategies.
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, and annual planning processes.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure consistent execution of operational and performance initiatives across assigned markets, including:
    • Accounts Receivable (A/R)
    • Inventory and inventory turns
    • Yard management
    • Net Promoter Score (NPS)
    • Warranty compliance
    • CRM/Compass utilization
    • Backlog management
    • Retailer engagement
    • Key performance indicator (KPI) achievement
  • Monitor results and implement corrective actions to improve performance.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop Customer Success Managers and Sales Coordinators.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
  • Utilize systems, tools and processes to ensure an excellent team member experience.

Qualifications

Education

  • Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Marketing, Finance, Sales Management, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.

Experience

  • 5+ years of sales leadership experience preferred.
  • Proven experience coaching and developing sales professionals.
  • Experience in strategic planning, market development, and revenue growth initiatives.
  • Manufacturing, housing, homebuilding, or related industry experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic thinking and business acumen.
  • Financial and operational understanding.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, business intelligence tools, and Microsoft Office applications.

Travel Requirements

  • 25-40% travel required to support retailer visits, field coaching, trade events, and business meetings.
