Kent Nutrition Group (KNG), a KENT WORLDWIDE™ company and leader in animal nutrition, has an exciting opportunity to join our internship program as a Sales Intern! This paid internship is eligible for company housing or a gas stipend and provides a collaborative team environment, community events, and valuable experience at a family-owned company. The KNG Sales Internship promotes knowledge and understanding of our business, products, sales strategies, and customer relationship management processes. The intern will support both inside and outside sales activities, interact with customers and prospects, and gain firsthand experience working alongside sales professionals in the field.

• This position is designed and intended to be performed in Muscatine, Iowa.
• The intern will have opportunities to travel with Territory Sales Managers, including overnight travel, to gain exposure to customer visits, territory management, and real-world sales execution.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leverage resources across Sales, Marketing, Nutrition, and Operations to better understand and promote KNG products and solutions.
• Attend and participate in sales meetings, customer events, and industry activities to gain valuable knowledge of the business and sales process.
• Work alongside the Inside Sales team to initiate and maintain contact with customers and prospects through CRM and lead generation tools.
• Partner with sales team members to develop skills in relationship building, consultative selling, negotiation, and account management.
• Accompany Territory Sales Managers on customer visits, capturing insights and learning best practices while interacting with customers in the field.
• Utilize CRM, Power BI, and other sales tools to maintain records, generate leads, and support territory planning activities.
• Conduct market and customer research to identify opportunities and trends that support business growth.
• Deliver a presentation to company stakeholders and leaders at the conclusion of the internship, summarizing projects, experiences, and key learnings.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program, with a preference for majors in Agribusiness, Agricultural Studies, Animal Science, Business, Marketing, Communications, or related fields.
• Interested in sales and comfortable building relationships with customers and team members.
• Must be returning to school following completion of the internship.
