Your work helps support programs and services that strengthen our community and create opportunities for the people we serve.

What You'll Do

  • Efficiently stock the sales floor with newly processed merchandise, fitting room returns, and new goods
  • Merchandise and organize products to create an appealing shopping experience
  • Conduct ongoing quality checks to ensure merchandise is clean, presentable, and ready for sale
  • Remove merchandise from the sales floor as needed to maintain quality standards and proper inventory rotation
  • Greet customers warmly and enthusiastically, providing assistance with locating and selecting merchandise
  • Address customer questions and concerns in a courteous and respectful manner, seeking support from leadership when needed
  • Operate the cash register, accurately process transactions, and properly package merchandise
  • Promote Goodwill's Round-Up Program
  • Maintain an accurate cash drawer and follow all cash-handling procedures
  • Keep the sales floor, displays, work areas, and facilities clean, safe, and organized
  • Crosstrain in other store functions and perform additional duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous retail or customer service experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service
  • Willingness to learn new skills and contribute to a positive workplace culture

Work Schedule & Availability

  • Open and flexible availability preferred
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required
  • Schedule may vary based on business needs

Work Environment

This role is based in a retail store environment. Team members may occasionally work outdoors while receiving donations and may also spend time in the donation processing area, which has a warehouse-like setting.

Physical Requirements

  • Standing and walking for extended periods throughout the shift
  • Frequent bending, reaching, stocking, and merchandising activities
  • Regular lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of merchandise
  • Ability to move merchandise and fixtures safely throughout the store
