Position Purpose
The Sales Floor Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day department operations within the ReStore. This includes managing staff and volunteers, ensuring efficient processing of merchandise and donations, and delivering exceptional customer experience. Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily department operations to meet sales goals and performance objectives
- Deliver outstanding customer service to shoppers, donors, and internal teams
- Ensure safe, efficient handling of merchandise and donations in line with established procedures
- Support receiving operations, including assisting on the dock as needed
- Supervise staff and volunteers, maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment
- Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented culture
- Serve as a key-carrying supervisor, responsible for opening/closing the store and cash handling
- Accurately complete end-of-day reporting and documentation
- Address performance concerns, including documenting and conducting corrective action when needed
- Create a meaningful and engaging volunteer experience
- Represent Habitat Charlotte Region professionally in all interactions

- Management & Customer Service experience
Skills and Abilities
- Basic computer and math skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

Work Environment
This position requires working indoors and outdoors in all types of weather, as well as warehouse/dock setting with or without climate control.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to move merchandise throughout the store
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted, 70 lbs. with assistance
- Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, Saturdays, and periodic holidays
- Ability to obtain Forklift Certification and operate a forklift on a regular basis
- Ability to climb steps to Forklift cab
Estimated Time Commitment: 40 hours/week, Rotating Monday-Saturday schedule. Shifts are scheduled based on the needs of the store, between the approximate hours of 8AM and 7PM.
