Job Description


Location:

Kisumu, Eldoret, Kisii, Narok

Reports To:

Regional/Head of Sales


Role Purpose


To manage sales, marketing, and distribution of all of the company's products effectively and efficiently within the assigned region. The role ensures achievement of profitable sales volumes, development of a strong route-to-market network, and provision of excellent customer service to drive sustainable business growth.


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage and grow existing accounts while identifying and pursuing new opportunities through structured daily work planning and regular visits to both current and potential sales outlets.

  • Build, develop, and maintain strong business relationships with customers and prospects within the assigned territory or market segment to drive sustainable growth.

  • Support brand marketing initiatives by identifying key opportunities in listings and activations, informed by a solid understanding of consumers, category trends, customers, competitors, channels, and the broader business environment.

  • Execute trade marketing strategies across the assigned brand portfolio in collaboration with the Marketing Manager and Sales Manager, including activations, merchandising, and point-of-sale (POS) placement.

  • Foster close working relationships with trade partners—resellers, traders, and retailers—to secure strong support and loyalty, while enhancing visibility and understanding of the trading landscape.

  • Represent the company with professionalism, ensuring compliance with business standards and handling all financial activities with integrity.

  • Monitor competitor activity by gathering intelligence on pricing, new product introductions, delivery schedules, and merchandising practices, and share timely updates with management.

  • Track and report on competitive dynamics, documenting all pricing-related activities.

  • Provide management with insightful oral and written reports covering customer needs, challenges, opportunities, competitive insights, and potential for new products or services.

  • Keep management updated through regular submissions of activity reports, including daily visit logs, weekly work plans, and monthly or annual territory performance reviews.


Requirements


Ideal Candidate Profile


  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or related field.

  • At least 3–5 years’ experience in FMCG/Alcoholic beverage sales with supervisory responsibility.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.

  • Proven ability to meet targets and grow market share.

  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of sales reporting.

  • Negotiation, problem-solving, and customer relationship management expertise.
