Day Shift
The Sales Executive will have an assigned regional focus in selling the full portfolio of MercyOne products and services that support employer’s needs including, but not limited to, health & wellness, occupational health, corporate health, and general and preventive health programs. This role is responsible for maintaining and implementing relationships with prospects as well as developing relationships with key insurance and employee benefit brokers, agents and consultants in their region. This position is a client-facing role and includes travel to client locations. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, demonstrates exceptional sales and interpersonal skills and has proven experience in employee benefits, health insurance, wellness, and/or occupational health sales.
Position: Sales Executive: Workplace Health
Location: Quad Cities Area OR Cedar Falls/Waterloo. Can live in either and will travel to other as needed. Ideally, candidate will live in QCA and travel to Cedar Falls once per week.
Schedule: 40 hours per week, Day shift, M-F
service standards related to new customer requests
· Bachelor’s degree required
· Valid Drivers License and good driving record
· 5+ years of experience in healthcare, employee benefits, wellness delivery or occupational health
· 5+ years of experience in direct sales or business development
· Must be self-motivated, possess a strong work ethic and an ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proven history of success in sales
· Demonstrated ability to effectively drive strategic transformation work
· Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
· Ability to communicate complex messages with a wide range of audiences on an internal and external basis
· Comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
· Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix-oriented organization
· CRM Salesforce experience preferred
Financial Acumen: Understands and can apply financial principles to business decisions; understands income statements, balance sheets, free cash flow, profit vs. cash. Understands the impact of their decisions on MercyOne balance sheet and income statements. Can coach direct reports around financial issues.
Business Acumen: Knows how the functions of a business work and relate to each other; knows the impact of business decisions; knowledgeable in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, technology and information affecting his/her part of MercyOne.
Functional/Technical Skills: Has the expertise, knowledge and skills required to perform in his/her role and function at a high level of accomplishment; yet is not too narrow or does not depend upon technical and functional knowledge and skills at the expense of personal, interpersonal and managerial skills.
