The Opportunity

Purolator International is seeking an accomplished, growth-oriented Sales Executive focused primarily on winning net-new customers and expanding our presence across the Midwest and northern U.S. region. In this role, you will build your own outbound pipeline, pursue assigned opportunities, and establish relationships with senior decision-makers in prospective accounts. You will help prospects identify measurable business value through Purolator International’s transportation and supply chain solutions while coordinating the internal expertise needed to design and close complex opportunities. The position is accountable for new-logo revenue, qualified pipeline creation, conversion, and achievement of quarterly and annual territory sales targets.

Ideally we are targeting candidates within the Midwest and northern U.S. region, with onsite expectations determined by the successful candidate’s proximity to a Purolator International facility.

If you are a driven sales professional who enjoys opening doors, building senior-level relationships, and developing solutions to complex transportation and supply chain challenges, we invite you to apply. Bring your experience, commercial judgment, and customer focus to a role where you can directly contribute to new-business growth across an important U.S. market.

What You'll Do

  • Achieve assigned quarterly and annual new-business sales targets by generating leads, pursuing assigned opportunities, and advancing a defined portfolio of prospective accounts.
  • Develop and execute a territory acquisition plan that identifies priority segments, target accounts, outbound activity, pipeline coverage, and conversion goals.
  • Build relationships with directors, vice presidents, C-suite executives, and other key decision-makers.
  • Identify customer challenges and present transportation and supply chain solutions that deliver measurable business value.
  • Prepare and coordinate customer presentations, proposals, quotes, bids, requests for information, and requests for proposal.
  • Lead sales discussions and coordinate multidisciplinary internal resources as part of a collaborative sales process.
  • Maintain an accurate pipeline and forecast opportunities through Salesforce or a comparable customer relationship management platform.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and engage Sales leadership and internal partners when additional support is required for complex opportunities.
  • Remain accountable for prospect and newly won customer issues through implementation, then complete a structured handoff to the account-management owner after stabilization.
  • Partner with Operations, Revenue Management, Legal, Contracts, and other stakeholders to align customer growth strategies with service and operational requirements.
  • Attend relevant trade shows, conferences, and industry events to develop leads and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Identify opportunities to improve sales processes and cross-functional ways of working using continuous-improvement principles.

How You Will Make an Impact

Your work will directly support Purolator International’s growth by:

  • Building and advancing a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Winning new customer logos and generating incremental revenue from previously untapped accounts.
  • Developing solutions that align customer needs with operational capabilities.
  • Supporting a successful customer onboarding and structured transition to the account-management team.
  • Helping internal teams remain aligned on customer strategies and commitments.
  • Maintaining disciplined ownership of the prospect pipeline and newly won accounts through implementation and handoff.

What You Bring

Required experience

  • More than four years of progressive business development experience selling business-to-business or business-to-consumer solutions.
  • More than four years of experience selling to directors, vice presidents, and C-level executives.
  • A demonstrated history of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Demonstrated success with outbound prospecting, opening new accounts, and converting self-generated pipeline into revenue.
  • Experience developing and closing strategic, enterprise-level, net-new revenue opportunities.
  • Experience applying structured sales methodologies such as solution selling, value-based selling, and account planning.
  • Strong customer-facing and customer service experience.
  • Completed post-secondary education.

Preferred experience

  • Experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain management, courier, freight, or related services.
  • Knowledge of hub, depot, terminal, or supply chain operations.
  • Experience selling premium services or complex customer solutions.
  • Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM platform for activity management, sales progression, pipeline management, and forecasting.

Skills That Will Help You Succeed

  • Strong consultative selling, influencing, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to establish credibility and build lasting relationships with senior customer contacts.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong business judgment, problem-solving ability, and commercial awareness.
  • Ability to understand factors that affect customer profitability and solution feasibility.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple perspectives and translate customer needs into practical sales, service, operational, billing, or technology solutions.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple activities.
  • Adaptability when business conditions, customer priorities, or sales plans change.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
