The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

Reporting to the Solventum Regional Sales Manager, as a Sales Executive in South Africa, you will be responsible for driving sales and promoting medical technology products across various healthcare settings. You will work closely with healthcare professionals, such as doctors, surgeons, hospital administrators, Private Nurse Practitioners or other HCP’s, to understand their needs and offer suitable solutions. Your role will include but not limited to, building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, providing product demonstrations, provide training and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Job Role and Responsibilities

  • Promoting and selling MedTech products to healthcare professionals, hospitals, clinics, and other medical facilities
  • Meeting and exceeding sales targets and KPIs
  • Activity Reporting and Analysis (SF.COM adherence / POS / Tracer/ Others)
  • Conducting product presentations, trainings and demonstrations to educate customers on product features and benefits
  • Identifying new business opportunities and expanding the customer base in assigned territories and be able to present to Management on agreed timelines
  • Maintaining a strong understanding of the market, competitor products, and industry trends
  • Building and nurturing long-term relationships with existing clients
  • Collaborating with the marketing, clinical, ISC and product teams to develop sales strategies
  • Providing after-sales support and ensuring client satisfaction with product performance, this may include extended hours after normal working hours
  • Preparing sales reports, tracking progress, and providing feedback to management
  • Maintain company assets, lists and whereabouts
  • Manage consignment or placement stock
  • Staying updated with regulatory requirements and industry standards for medical devices
  • Event Participation and Networking

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum is looking for a professional who must have the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor level university/college degree, a minimum of 5 years of Sales experience relevant
  • In-depth knowledge of the Med Tech industry and the healthcare market in South Africa.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
  • Problem-solving and customer service excellence.
  • Executing strategic plans as set by the company
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical product information
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance and medical devices marketing.

Location: This position is remote, based in the Free State Province

Travel: May include up to 80% travel within the Free State assigned territory

Company Vehicle

This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position.
