Job Purpose:

The Sales Executive is responsible for managing the day-to-day buy and sell transactions of Foreign Currency Notes (FCN), ensuring adequate currency stock availability and maintaining competitive exchange rates. The role supports the achievement of individual sales targets while ensuring accuracy, operational efficiency, customer service excellence and compliance with the Bank’s policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Execute daily buy and sell transactions involving Foreign Currency Notes (FCN) in accordance with approved procedures and rates.
  • Monitor FCN cash and stock levels to ensure sufficient availability for daily business requirements.
  • Manage the disposal and replenishment of FCN stock based on transaction volumes and business demand.
  • Monitor market rates and maintain competitive pricing to support business and customer requirements.
  • Perform accurate and timely rate entry into the relevant systems.
  • Ensure all transactions are processed accurately and in compliance with established policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide professional and responsive service to customers and attend to their foreign currency requirements.
  • Monitor individual sales performance and actively pursue opportunities to achieve sales targets.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records relating to FCN transactions and operational activities.
  • Identify and escalate operational discrepancies, exceptions or customer issues to the Supervisor where necessary.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient BDC operations.
  • Support the implementation of operational and business initiatives to improve BDC performance and customer experience.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in any relevant discipline.
  • Relevant experience in banking, foreign exchange, cash management, retail sales or customer-facing financial services would be an advantage.
  • Strong numerical ability with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of foreign exchange markets and currency movements.
  • Ability to assess market rates and support competitive pricing.
  • Proficient in using transaction and rate-entry systems.
  • Strong compliance and operational discipline.
  • Target-oriented with a strong drive to achieve individual sales goals.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and customer-focused environment.
  • Adaptable and able to respond to changing business and customer demands.
  • Must be willing and able to work shift hours
