Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Executive to drive new business growth across the banking, fintech, payments, and financial services sectors. This role is focused on generating new commercial opportunities, building relationships with prospective clients, and supporting revenue growth across sponsorships, conferences, awards programs, subscriptions, research products, and strategic partnerships. The successful candidate will be proactive, commercially driven, and comfortable engaging decision-makers across financial services organisations.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, and industry engagement.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of prospects across banks, fintech companies, financial institutions, technology providers, and professional services firms.
  • Promote sponsorship opportunities, awards programs, subscriptions, research products, conferences, and strategic partnerships.
  • Conduct discovery calls and meetings with prospective clients to understand business needs and identify commercial opportunities.
  • Support proposal preparation, commercial discussions, and contract negotiations.
  • Maintain regular follow-up activities to progress opportunities through the sales pipeline.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, track sales activity, update the pipeline, and produce forecasting reports.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, editorial, research, and events teams to support commercial initiatives.
  • Represent the company at conferences, networking events, and client meetings where required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in B2B sales, business development, sponsorship sales, media sales, conference sales, fintech sales, SaaS sales, or related commercial roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new business opportunities and manage sales pipelines.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable engaging senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and commercially focused.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Exposure to banking, fintech, financial services, technology, media, events, or professional services industries is advantageous.
