Section 1: Job Summary

This role is dedicated to helping businesses expand their export capabilities and grow their international footprint through strategic Rx event participation and brand exposure. You’ll drive revenue growth by delivering tailored, value-based sales solutions—including exhibition space, sponsorships, and digital tools—to a portfolio of existing and prospective clients.

Engaging with primarily SME and regional businesses, you'll use a combination of phone, email, social selling, face-to-face meetings, and networking to build meaningful client relationships and support their global ambitions. You’ll also leverage platforms like Salesforce, LinkedIn, and generative AI tools to uncover new opportunities and manage your pipeline with precision.

Success in this role demands a proactive, goal-oriented mindset, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to delivering measurable results that help clients achieve international success.

Section 2: Job Responsibilities / % of Time / Key Accountabilities

Sales activity and customer management 70%

• Develop and nurture high-value client relationships by understanding unique business drivers and delivering tailored, value-led solutions such as exhibition space, sponsorships, digital tools, and strategic branding opportunities.

• Proactively engage new and existing clients through a mix of calls, emails, social media, virtual and face-to-face meetings, and networking events.

• Prepare professional, brand-aligned proposals and ensure all communications maintain the company’s quality standards and values.

• Expand your network by leveraging opportunities at competitor shows and live events.

• Continuously use generative AI, social media, and other digital tools to identify additional contacts within existing clients’ organisations and discover new prospects.

• Stay informed on market trends and insights from industry news, sales materials, social media, and AI to drive sales growth.

• Collaborate closely with all internal stakeholders to deliver a seamless and efficient customer experience.

Pipeline management and other administrative tasks 20%

• Accurately log all customer interactions and activities in Salesforce and GONG for easy tracking and future reference.

• Maintain a realistic and up-to-date sales pipeline in Salesforce, providing a clear view of the current status across all shows you manage.

• Use CRM systems effectively to support sales processes.

Forecasting and reporting 5%

• Participate in bi-weekly pipeline review meetings with your line manager, bringing insights and updates to support accurate forecasting and informed decision-making.

• Commit to and complete all agreed actions resulting from pipeline reviews.

• Act as a trusted partner to internal show teams by delivering timely customer feedback and account updates.

Sales skill development 5%

• Collaborate with your line manager to identify development areas and explore innovative ways to improve performance.

• Take ownership of your growth by embracing continuous learning and actively seeking feedback through the company’s digital tools.

• Digitally fluent, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), CRM systems, social media (particularly LinkedIn), and generative AI tools.

• Quick to learn and adapt, with a proven ability to retain and apply new knowledge effectively.

• Highly organised and self-motivated, with excellent time management and prioritisation capabilities.

• Multilingual fluency if required.

Section 4: Qualifications/Experience

Education / Qualifications:

• Strong academic background with a high level of achievement

• Degree or qualifications in International Business, Business Studies, or a related field (preferred but not essential)

Experience:

• Proven success in a fast-paced, target-driven sales environment

• A background in exhibitions or media is a plus
