Identifies, develops, and manages business opportunities for Vanguard across the Spanish wealth management market.
Identifies, develops, and manages business opportunities for Vanguard across the Spanish wealth management market. Responsible for growing assets and deepening relationships with Digital Wealth Platforms, Investment Advisor Networks, Private Banks, brokers, neobanks, and robo-advisors. Supports the retention and expansion of key client relationships while acting as a brand ambassador for Vanguard's investment capabilities, research, and thought leadership across Spain.
Core Responsibilities
- Achieves established sales, retention, and business development goals through direct management of relationships across assigned client segments and territories.
- Manages and develops relationships with Digital Wealth Platforms, Private Banks, brokers, neobanks, robo-advisors, and other wealth management firms in Spain.
- Develops and executes strategic territory and client plans to identify new business opportunities, deepen existing relationships, and increase adoption of Vanguard investment solutions.
- Builds, maintains, and expands partnerships with both digital and traditional wealth management providers, acting as a trusted commercial partner and representative of Vanguard in the Spanish market.
- Raises awareness of Vanguard’s investment capabilities through proactive prospecting, client engagement, industry events, and targeted business development activities.
- Delivers presentations, workshops, and roadshows across Spain to financial professionals, advisers, and platforms, effectively communicating Vanguard’s products, market insights, and research.
- Develops a deep understanding of clients' business models, investment propositions, and strategic priorities to identify opportunities for collaboration and growth.
- Maintains awareness of relevant Spanish and European regulatory developments and ensures activities are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations and Vanguard's Code of Ethics.
- Collaborates closely with internal stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Investments, Product, Operations, and Legal & Compliance to deliver a consistent client experience and achieve business objectives.
- Contributes to strategic initiatives and special projects that support the growth of Vanguard's Spanish business.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including prior sales, business development, relationship management, or client-facing experience within asset management, wealth management, financial services, or a related field.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CFA charterholder/candidate, or master’s degree in finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the Spanish wealth management and intermediary landscape, including digital wealth platforms and advisory distribution models, preferred.
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills, with the ability to represent Vanguard at client events, conferences, seminars, and roadshows.
- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions while operating with a high degree of autonomy in a small and entrepreneurial team environment.
- Does not require regulatory license and/or registration.
