Job Description

The Sales Engineer (Water and Sanitation)

will be responsible identifying new clients and maintaining existing clients and providing technical support and assistance to customers,delivering exceptional customer service, and driving sales of our wastewater treatment

systems. The Sales Engineer will also be responsible for effective communication with clients and working closely with the technical team to achieve sales targets.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • The Sales Engineer will be responsible for client liaison, costing, planning, executing,
  • creating solutions, achieving deadlines and delivering excellence through effective
  • interaction with clients and the internal technical team.
  • Identifying and establishing new markets, buyers and users
  • Liaising and maintaining existing clients
  • Develop long-term relationships with clients, through managing and interpreting
  • their requirements
  • Identify and follow tenders and projects through close relations with key market stakeholders.
  • Management of existing markets and submission of performance reviews, monthly sales reports, development of sales strategies.
  • Develop solutions to meet client needs and requirements
  • Preparing tenders, proposals and quotations
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations to various customers
  • Site visits and surveys
  • Giving product demonstrations, training and presentations to help clients understand products
  • Providing pre-sales and post-sales technical support and product education
  • Attending trade exhibitions, conferences and meetings
  • Ensuring that sales targets are met
  • Prepare reports for head office and keep customer records
  • Generate high-quality sales leads, following up after initial contact, securing and renewing orders, negotiating prices, completing sales.
  • Support marketing team by attending trade shows, conferences, seminars, and other marketing events.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • 5 Years experience in selling water and sanitation products through independent
  • channels as well as direct in industrial, domestic, municipal, and similar markets.
  • Experience in managing EPCs and Key Accounts.
  • Verifiable knowledge of wastewater treatment technologies and treatment systems in
  • the targeted industries.
  • Results oriented; able and motivated to both present benefits and close orders.
  • Conviction and passion for the products are necessary.
  • Knowledge of techniques to be successful in working with specifying engineers.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills. Comfortable delivering public
  • presentations.
  • Excellent computer skills to include all Microsoft Office products.
  • Accustomed to travel
  • Basic level MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Power Point skills required
  • A bachelors degree (Bsc. Or B.Tech) or similar in the built environment (Civil
  • Engineering or Chemical Engineering)
