Job Description

Every day, we get opportunities to make a positive impact – on our colleagues, partners, customers and society. Together, we’re pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water and shipping.

As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.

Are you a technically minded sales professional who enjoys solving complex customer challenges and building lasting relationships? Would you like to work with market-leading technologies that help some of the world's most recognized food, beverage, dairy, and biopharma companies become more efficient and sustainable?

If so, we'd love to meet you.

At Alfa Laval, we're looking for a Sales Engineer - Separation Technology to join our Food & Pharma Division. In this role, you'll be the trusted advisor to our customers, combining technical expertise with commercial insight to develop new business, strengthen existing partnerships, and deliver innovative separation solutions that create real value.

You'll have the autonomy to manage your own territory, work closely with industry-leading experts, and contribute to a business that is shaping a more sustainable future.

What you'll do:

As a Sales Engineer - Separation Technology, you will:

  • Build and develop long-term relationships with customers across the Food & Pharma industries.
  • Identify new business opportunities while growing existing accounts.
  • Visit customer sites across Poland to understand their processes, challenges, and future ambitions.
  • Advise customers on the most suitable Alfa Laval separation technologies, including centrifuges and related process solutions.
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals that deliver value to customers.
  • Lead commercial discussions, negotiate offers, and successfully close new business opportunities.
  • Develop sales plans, manage your pipeline, and maintain accurate CRM data.
  • Represent Alfa Laval at industry events, conferences, exhibitions, and customer seminars.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from Sales, Application & Process Engineering, Service, and Product Management to deliver outstanding customer solutions.
  • Stay up to date with market trends, customer needs, and industry developments to identify future growth opportunities.

Who you are:

You enjoy meeting customers, understanding their business, and finding the right technical solution for their challenges. You are curious, proactive, and motivated by creating long-term value rather than simply making a sale.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • A degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Biotechnology, Food Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant technical discipline.
  • At least two years of experience in technical sales, process engineering, business development, or another customer-facing technical role.
  • Experience within the Food, Beverage, Dairy, Biopharma, or related process industries is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of separation technologies or industrial process equipment is an advantage but not essential—we'll support your learning.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • A commercial mindset combined with technical curiosity.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented approach to work.
  • Willingness to travel across Poland (approximately 3–4 days per week).
  • A valid Category B driving licence.
  • Fluency in both Polish and English.

Why join Alfa Laval?

At Alfa Laval, you'll work with technologies that make a real difference, helping customers improve productivity, reduce energy consumption, and operate more sustainably.

We offer:

  • A comprehensive onboarding program and extensive technical training.
  • The opportunity to become an expert in world-class separation technologies.
  • An independent role with ownership of your customer portfolio and territory.
  • A collaborative, international culture where knowledge sharing and teamwork are encouraged.
  • Continuous learning and excellent career development opportunities within a global organization.
  • Competitive salary, performance-based bonus, and an attractive benefits package.
  • A company car.

We care about diversity, inclusion and equity in our recruitment processes. We also believe behavioral traits can provide important insights into a candidate's fit to a role. To help us achieve this we apply Pymetrics assessments, and upon application you will be invited to play the assessment games.
