What You Need to Know

The Sales Engineer is responsible for increasing and maintaining sales for their customer accounts of responsibility. The incumbent supports their Line manager with daily operations and profitability of their regional sales efforts, business development, product training and support. Has accountability for the performance and results within own discipline or function and assists Sales leadership in managing the profitability of the Electrical Inspection business.

What We Are Looking For

Some of the Key Accountabilities, but not limited to:

• Proactively seek new business opportunities through conducting regular field visits to clients which will mainly include clients in Oil & Gas, Marine and Drilling industry
• Work closely with the Line Manager to deliver the sales/business objectives for Proserv EX electrical inspection business.
• Work towards achieving the assigned sales target, while complying with company Finance, Ethics and Sales Policies.
• Plan and prioritize sales activities and drive impact meetings/calls and maintain a high-quality opportunity pipeline.
• Identify projects to prioritize based on probability and to formulate winning strategy to secure them.
• Liaise with internal teams to prepare detailed techno-commercial offers and ensure that the proposal is most suited for the project specification.
• Responsible for evaluating potential leads, providing tailored proposals which suit client’s requirements and following up on quotations to convert into confirmed business.
• In addition, you will work closely alongside order management team to ensure a smooth delivery of project installation, foreseeing any potential obstacles and proactively resolving them.
• Conduct market studies and analyse market trends, understanding competitor movements and report on market and competitor activities.
• Primary focus will be to develop the local market in the UAE, but will support development across the Mena region as required.

Qualifications / Skills Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
• Expert in electrical logics & circuits
• Expert in hazardous area electrical engineering, inspection & installations
• Entrepreneur skill identifying opportunities & converting to orders.
• Computer skills, good communications, planning and organizing skills.
• Good time management, prioritization, and multitasking abilities

Experience Preferred

• More than six years’ experience in in dealing with major oil & gas end-users entities contractors and drilling industry in the region.
• Proven track record in meeting sales targets coupled with a passion and drive towards achieving expectations.
• Previous Experience into the sales of pressure control systems
• Strong Interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Must be a self-motivated with good time management skills.
• Presentable, Organized, task oriented and a great team player
