The Opportunity

We are looking for a technically skilled Sales Engineer – Distribution Automation (DA) to drive sales growth, support strategic initiatives, and ensure high customer satisfaction across our DA product portfolio. The role combines technical expertise with strong stakeholder engagement to deliver tailored solutions and contribute to business success.

The position requires close collaboration across teams, influencing key stakeholders, and supporting a comprehensive, customer-focused offering aligned with strategic objectives.

How You'll make an Impact

  • Drive sales for distribution automation products and solutions within assigned markets
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships across utilities, EPCs, OEMs, and partners
  • Identify customer needs and deliver tailored technical solutions
  • Support proof of concepts (PoCs) and technical validations
  • Deliver technical presentations, demos, and workshops
  • Act as technical expert throughout the sales cycle and support deal closure
  • Develop and manage sales channels (e.g., distributors, system integrators)
  • Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer insights to identify opportunities
  • Represent the company at industry events and build market presence
  • Achieve sales targets and continuously improve performance

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in (technical) sales, ideally in distribution automation
  • Strong knowledge of power distribution, automation technologies, and grid trends
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
  • Expertise in power systems and DA technologies (e.g., IEDs, RTUs)
  • Strong customer-oriented mindset with solution focus
  • Understanding of energy regulations and commercial strategies
  • Fluency in German and English (additional languages are a plus)
