Job Introduction

Within our Maritime Business Unit, we develop innovative solutions for Maritime Rescue Coordination Centres (MRCCs), Vessel Traffic Services (VTS), coast guards, and naval organisations. Our systems help organisations around the globe protect lives, coordinate traffic flows, and ensure maritime safety and security.

Key Tasks

As a Sales Engineer within our Sales and Business Development team, you will act as the technical interface between customers, sales, product management, and engineering.

• Analyse customer requirements and develop technical solution concepts.
• Prepare technical solution descriptions, specifications, and proposal documents.
• Support national and international tenders and perform feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost evaluations.
• Evaluate technical requirements in close collaboration with Product Management and Engineering.
• Ensure the technical feasibility and cost transparency of proposed solutions and provide technical consultancy to our international customers.
• Conduct customer workshops, presentations, and technical alignment meetings, while supporting the Sales team during customer engagements and tender processes.
• Work closely with Sales, Offer Management, Product Management, Procurement, and Engineering, supporting the transition of successful bids into project execution.

Key Qualifications

• Degree in a technical discipline (University of Applied Sciences or University) or equivalent qualification, preferably in telecommunications, communications engineering, network engineering, computer science, or IT.
• Several years of professional experience in Presales, Sales Engineering, Technical Sales, Solution Engineering, or technical customer consulting.
• Experience in preparing technical documentation and solution concepts, with the ability to communicate complex technical topics in a clear and understandable way.
• Strong analytical skills, a structured and solution-oriented approach, and the confidence to engage with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Excellent written and spoken English; additional language skills are an advantage.
• Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 20%).

Salary

The remuneration for this position consists of: The collective agreement minimum salary of EUR 43,529 gross per year (based on a 38.5 hour week) PLUS an overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional qualifications and experience.
