We're scaling fast, and the SEs we hire now will be foundational to Numeric's growth trajectory.

About This Role

As an Associate Sales Engineer, you'll be a technical partner to our sales team, helping finance leaders understand how Numeric solves their most complex accounting challenges. The product is moving fast, customers are getting more sophisticated, and the SE role is at the center of every major win. We're looking for an Associate SE who brings real accounting and finance depth, wants to learn the craft of technical selling alongside our senior SEs, and is hungry to grow into owning the room with a CFO. This role comes with a clear path to Senior Sales Engineer.

What You'll Do

• Support and increasingly lead demos, discovery sessions, and proof-of-concept (POC) engagements across mid-market and enterprise accounts
• Partner closely with Account Executives and senior SEs to develop technical win strategies and move deals forward
• Build credibility with finance stakeholders, including Controllers and VPs of Finance, by bringing real domain expertise to every conversation
• Ramp quickly through structured enablement, shadowing, and live deal reps alongside senior SEs
• Gather and synthesize customer feedback to inform product roadmap priorities, partnering with PMM and product
• Help build and maintain demo environments, technical collateral, and enablement materials for the broader team
• Use AI tools (Claude, MCP, and whatever comes next) to accelerate demo prep, research, and your own ramp

About You

• 5-7+ years of total experience in the finance/accounting world, ideally a mix of in-house operations and customer-facing roles
• You may have been an SE before, and/or have a real aptitude for and interest in becoming one
• Strong accounting and finance domain knowledge, with the ability to speak credibly with Controllers and finance teams
• Comfortable presenting to customers, and eager to sharpen your demo, discovery, and POC skills
• Based in SF or NYC

Nice To Haves

• CPA or formal accounting background
• Familiarity with accounting close management or financial reporting workflows
