Role Purpose

The Sales Engineer is responsible for managing sales and service activities for process systems, equipment, and chemicals. The role involves developing customer relationships, preparing technical and commercial proposals, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams, securing purchase orders, following up on payments and collections, and providing technical and after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage process technology projects from enquiry through delivery and after-sales support.
• Prepare and submit supplier enquiries in accordance with instructions from the Section Head and Downstream Manager.
• Review supplier quotations and assist in evaluating and selecting the most suitable supplier based on technical and commercial requirements.
• Coordinate the delivery of equipment and chemicals to customers in collaboration with the Section Head and relevant internal teams.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals for customers, conduct follow-ups, and support the process of securing purchase orders.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with industrial, government, and oil & gas customers.
• Follow up on supplier payments and customer collections in coordination with the Accounts & Finance team.
• Follow up with customers to obtain feedback on purchased equipment and chemicals and identify opportunities for further business.
• Provide technical and after-sales support for equipment and chemicals supplied to customers.
• Assist the Section Head and Downstream Manager in addressing customer complaints, technical issues, and troubleshooting requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers and business partners to resolve technical or product-related concerns.
• Prepare and submit sales activity reports and other required reports to the Section Head.
• Maintain regular communication with customers and suppliers to ensure timely execution of sales and service requirements.
• Attend technical and product training conducted by manufacturers and business partners as required.
• Identify potential business opportunities and contribute to achieving sales targets and business growth.
• Coordinate with the Sales Team, Accounts & Finance Department, Section Head, and Downstream Manager to ensure smooth execution of customer requirements.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Section Head, Downstream Manager, or General Manager.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant sales experience, preferably in process systems, industrial equipment, chemicals, or a related technical industry.
• Strong technical sales and business development experience.
• Experience working with industrial, government, and/or oil & gas customers is preferred.
• Strong understanding of technical proposals, quotations, supplier coordination, and customer negotiations.
• Excellent customer relationship management and communication skills.
• Fluency in English and Arabic is essential.
• Computer literate with good knowledge of standard business applications.
• Strong commercial awareness, problem-solving ability, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, customer requirements, and deadlines effectively.
• Willingness to attend manufacturer and business partner training as required.
