As a key player in the Klima Group, our Northern NJ office is expanding to meet growing demand and we’re looking for a seasoned sales engineer ready to lead, influence, and deliver. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Own the Territory: Manage and expand a book of business with established consulting engineers, design-build contractors, and key decision-makers across the Northern NJ market.
  • Engineer the Win: Analyze project specifications, select optimal equipment, and develop engineered solutions that meet both performance and budget goals.
  • Act as a Strategic Advisor: Guide customers through complex HVAC applications with a consultative approach. Deliver clarity, confidence, and value throughout every phase of the buying cycle.
  • Deliver the Full Klima Experience: Collaborate with our inside application and estimating teams to ensure seamless proposals and execution.
  • Promote and Educate: Represent Klima and our manufacturers through presentations, industry events, and targeted technical discussions.
  • Drive Results: Consistently meet or exceed sales targets with a focus on long-term client relationships, not transactional wins.

Experience and Requirements:
  • 5+ years of proven success in HVAC equipment sales (preferably in a manufacturer’s rep or mechanical sales environment)
  • Strong relationships in the North Jersey engineering or contracting community
  • Deep understanding of HVAC systems, building design, and mechanical construction
  • Technical acumen with the ability to communicate complex ideas simply and clearly
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Sciences, or Business (or equivalent experience)
  • Self-motivated, accountable, and driven by performance
