Sales Engineer in GAC Savannah


Unique Skills:

Required: Stong written and verbal communications skills. Formal presentation ability.

Experience needs to be in the aviation and/or aerospace industry preferrably within air operations.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Aviation Business or related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 5 years experience with a Bachelor's degree or 3 years experience with a Master's degree. Position PurposeAct as the primary source of technical information during the sales process. Under minimal supervision, works in close coordination with Sales Executives to provide timely and accurate sales support for assigned sales territories including technical analyses, competitive analyses, and sales proposal responses. Direct interface with Level 1, 2 and 3 customers is required.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions:
  1. Provide technical information directly to Level 1, 2 and 3 customers through formal sales presentations, customer visits, facility tours, static displays and demonstration flights.
  2. Provide timely and accurate sales support for assigned sales territories, including technical analyses, competitive analyses, sales proposal responses, customer question responses, and generation of customer specific sales material. .
  3. Assist Sales Executives in the development of sales messages that are appropriate for a particular account.
  4. Act as primary point of contact and liaison between field-based sales executives and Savannah.
  5. Assist in the planning and coordination of sales engineering initiatives and tasks.
  6. Work in close coordination with other groups at Gulfstream on collaborative projects of increasing level of complexity. Responsible for the completion of assigned project milestones.
  7. Provide sales engineering/customer support at all necessary marketing events, trade shows, air shows, static displays, industry conferences, and special events. .
  8. Responsible for organizing sales engineering support and materials for events in the assigned sales territories.
Additional Functions:
  1. Responsible for the development and upkeep of sales support material. .
  2. Complete assigned background tasks in a timely manner. .
  3. Maintain and update the technical product and competitive databases to use as a foundation for technical analyses. .
  4. Maintain an up to date knowledge of domestic and foreign regulatory requirements and issues. .
  5. Maintain job tracking data and historical records of all work accomplished. .
Perform other duties as assigned.Other Requirements:
  1. Experience should be in the aerospace field in sales support, engineering, services, flight operations, marketing or completions.
  2. Proven experience dealing with customers and formal presentations.
  3. Excellent working knowledge of airplane operations, regulations, performance, and the high end business jet industry.
  4. Excellent computer skills to include flight performance software, customer data bases, MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Computer graphics skills are an advantage.
  5. A Pilot License is an advantage.

This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
