Requirements

The Role

• Achieve and exceed annual sales targets across South Africa and selected Sub-Saharan African regions.
• Drive strategic market development initiatives across all sales channels to increase market share and profitability.
• Identify, appoint, develop, and monitor distribution partners to ensure strong market performance.
• Manage the full sales cycle from opportunity identification through to proposal presentation, value demonstration, negotiation, and deal closure.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through in-person meetings, telephone engagement, and digital communication channels.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information, visit reports, quotations, and sales activities within the CRM system.
• Represent the business at seminars, exhibitions, and other marketing and industry events.
• Ensure effective and efficient territory coverage and account management.
• Coach, support, and train distribution partners to strengthen market presence and performance.
• Contribute to business planning and sales strategy development to support revenue growth and target achievement.

Your Profile

• Degree qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial or technical sales environments.
• Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational, planning, and follow-up abilities.
• Good understanding of general industrial markets and customer environments.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience with assembly tools and fastening solutions would be advantageous.
• Previous experience working with CRM systems and sales tracking tools.
• Sales-driven, energetic, and results-oriented mindset.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build lasting customer relationships.
• Team-oriented with flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
