Job Description

**Remote + 50% travel**

Must be based in either of the following areas:

  • Tulsa, OK

  • Oklahoma City, OK

  • Pittsburgh, PA

  • Philadelphia, PA

  • Within 90 minutes of a large airport in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, or Southern Virginia

Our award-winning client is seeking an Engineered Sales to join their team. This dynamic role offers a unique blend of technical expertise, customer interaction, and product development – ideal for a driven and results-oriented engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging training presentations on fire life safety products to engineers, architects, contractors, and wholesalers.

  • Oversee assigned regional sales territories, fostering customer satisfaction by bridging communication between engineering, production, sales teams, and customers.

  • Conduct outreach to mechanical engineers, staying abreast of industry needs and market trends.

  • Analyze building code standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, etc.) and recommend appropriate product specifications to engineers.

  • Collaborate with the engineering design team to develop and manage new or improved products within a specific product line.

  • Provide direct sales support to regional representatives, interacting with specifying engineers, multifamily architects, design-build contractors, manufacturers' reps, wholesalers, and building inspectors.

  • Conduct market research to identify and capitalize on new sales opportunities.

  • Leverage your technical expertise to interpret sales data and recognize trends.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or Industrial Engineering (accredited required).

  • Minimum 1 year of professional experience (excluding internships).

  • Experience in leading teams and implementing projects (a plus).

  • Experience in the HVAC sales, construction, or trades industry (preferred).

  • Proven ability to deliver impactful presentations to large audiences.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams).

  • Understanding of geometric and dimensional tolerances (a plus).

  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce, Infor CRM, etc.) preferred.

  • Strong interdepartmental communication and collaboration skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage and communicate schedule changes effectively.

  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes.

  • Willingness to travel at least 50%.

  • Passionate, energetic, and achievement-oriented with a positive attitude.

  • Strong work ethic and commitment to upholding our company's values and fostering a positive work culture.

  • This role requires travel to territories within Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, or Southern Virginia (with 50% travel expected).

Additional Skills (Preferred):

  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit modeling.

  • Ability to interpret AutoCAD detail drawings.
