Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)

The Sales Enablement Specialist (Greater China Region) empowers the regional sales organization with strategic customer communication, pricing discipline, forecasting accuracy, and process standardization across all sales processes. This role ensures alignment with global standards while optimizing for local market conditions, regulatory requirements, and customer preferences. The incumbent manages and leads training and onboarding for sales tools and methodologies, supports strategic customer initiatives, and drives operational excellence across the Greater China sales organization.

This role is contributing to the AUMC Commercial Operations function in Greater China Region. Main stakeholders are Area Sales Heads and sales teams, Local Industry Team, Local Operation Team, Local Order Handling Team.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Serves as a key enablement partner and strategic advisor to regional sales leaders, providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Drives regional forecasting accuracy and support topline budgeting in alignment with global templates and methodologies, incorporating local market insights.
  • Facilitates all strategic sales enablement activities between the China sales organization and Global Commercial Operations/HQ, ensuring alignment with global standards while adapting to local market dynamics.
  • Drives implementation of pricing strategies for the China region, ensuring compliance with global guidelines while optimizing for local competitive positioning and margin targets.
  • ​Leads implementation of global sales processes and tools across the China sales organization, ensuring effective utilization and adoption by all sales teams.
  • Develops and implements regional sales communication strategies, translating and localizing global communications to ensure cultural relevance and market appropriateness for Chinese customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinates and facilitates sales training programs and onboarding initiatives for sales tools, methodologies, and product/solution knowledge to enhance team capabilities.
  • Partners with Global Commercial Operations to align regional initiatives with company-wide standards and drive productivity improvements.
  • Supports regional sales teams in strategic customer engagement, customer visits, and strategic account planning.
  • Collaborates closely with Product Management and Solutions teams to ensure alignment on go-to-market strategies and customer messaging.
  • Coordinates market studies and competitive analysis for the Greater China region, keeping the sales and product teams informed of market requirements and opportunities.
  • Provides technical support to sales teams during customer meetings, product presentations, and negotiations, offering solution-specific training.
  • Supports the preparation of technical and commercial offerings for strategic sales projects and customer initiatives.
  • Leads and supports implementation of playbooks and best practices for strategic account management and sales growth.
  • Analyzes lost proposals and deals to identify improvement opportunities and recommend actions to enhance future sales results.
  • Supports risk management and compliance requirements specific to China regulatory environment and ABB policies.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related field
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in sales operations, commercial operations, sales enablement, or similar roles
  • Demonstrated expertise in data analysis and business intelligence tools (PowerBI, Tableau, or similar)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Strong project and stakeholder management capabilities with proven track record
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese (written and verbal)
  • Experience with sales forecasting, pipeline management, and sales process design
  • Knowledge of pricing strategies and commercial operations best practices
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (SAP CRM, Salesforce, or similar platforms)
  • Familiarity with ABBs business model or similar B2B industrial/technology sectors​
