Come join our team in the role of North America Sales Effectiveness Lead

The Sales Effectiveness Lead-Pioneer Agency North America, is responsible for leading Sales Effectiveness across the North America organization, including alignment of territory planning, new seller training, and optimizing customer experience through the sales rep channel.

This role sits within the North America Pioneer Agency Marketing team and serves as a key bridge between marketing strategy and field execution to optimize customer experience through the sales rep channel. The position is accountable for improving consistency, clarity, and effectiveness of sales execution across the Pioneer business, with a strong focus on agency enablement, coverage, quality, and simplified execution.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Effectiveness Leadership & Alignment

  • Provide leadership and alignment for the Sales Effectiveness Manager (SEM) team
  • Establish clear priorities, frameworks, and expectations to drive consistent execution across regions
  • Partner with Area and District Leaders to ensure alignment of Sales Effectiveness priorities and activities

Territory Planning & Sales Force Coverage

  • Oversee territory planning processes to ensure strong coverage, quality, and effectiveness of the sales force
  • Ensure consistent execution of Territory Planning sessions and follow-up actions across all areas
  • Improve alignment of coverage models to reduce inconsistency and gaps

Sales Effectiveness Execution & Coordination

  • Coordinate execution of Sales Effectiveness activities across the Pioneer business
  • Align processes, calendars, and priorities across teams to simplify field execution
  • Address inconsistencies in execution, metrics, and approaches across regions

Recruitment, Onboarding & Field Support

  • Partner with Territory Managers, Sales Leaders, and SEMs to support recruiting, onboarding, and development of sales representatives
  • Ensure consistent onboarding and training processes for new sellers and agency employees
  • Support succession planning and agency alignment across North America

Compensation & Resource Coordination

  • Partner with SEMs and commercial leadership to manage point-of-sale commission budgets and related programs
  • Ensure alignment between compensation programs and field execution priorities
  • Own and drive adoption of the Pioneer Rep Rewards Program
  • Support coordination of equipment, services, and resource needs across teams

Rep Policy Governance & Agency Enablement

  • Lead governance and ownership of the Pioneer Sales Representative Policy Manual, including annual updates and ongoing maintenance
  • Ensure policy updates are clearly communicated and understood across the field and agency network
  • Coordinate input and review with key internal stakeholders to ensure policy alignment with business, operational, and compliance standards

Agency Alignment & Issue Resolution

  • Address challenges created by competing priorities within the same geographies
  • Improve communication and coordination across teams supporting the Pioneer agency network
  • Reduce internal friction, misaligned incentives, and inefficiencies

Sales Effectiveness Improvement & Role Clarity

  • Drive improvements in role clarity for SEMs and related field roles
  • Support development of consistent job expectations, processes, and performance metrics
  • Identify gaps in Sales Effectiveness capabilities and recommend solutions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, Marketing, Finance, or related field
  • 7–10+ years of experience in sales operations, sales effectiveness, or commercial roles
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence in a matrixed organization
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
  • Experience in sales, sales management, or sales effectiveness within agriculture or related industries
  • Strong understanding of territory planning, sales force coverage, and execution
  • Ability to lead cross-functional coordination across multiple teams
