Sales Director – UAE & Oman (Projects & Retail)

The Sales Director – UAE & Oman is fully accountable for delivering the Knauf sales budget across UAE and Oman, driving sustainable growth, increasing market share, and strengthening strategic customer relationships across both Projects and Retail channels.

The role leads the regional sales organization with a strong focus on customer centricity, cross functional collaboration, people development, and performance discipline, while ensuring strategic alignment with company objectives.


What you’ll be doing:

Budget Ownership – UAE & Oman

  • Own and deliver the annual Knauf sales budget (revenue, volume, and margin).

  • Translate strategic targets into clear operational plans by market and channel.

  • Drive sustainable growth while protecting profitability.

  • Ensure accurate forecasting and pipeline visibility.

  • Monitor pricing discipline and commercial governance.

  • Accountable for: Revenue growth, margin performance, market share expansion.

Strategic Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with: Key dealers and distributors, Tier 1 contractors, major developers, leading consultants

  • Strengthen long-term partnerships to position Knauf as preferred solution provider.

  • Drive strategic agreements and framework partnerships.

  • Represent Knauf at senior industry forums and negotiations.

Leadership of Sales Team

  • Lead and develop the UAE & Oman Retail & Projects Sales Teams.

  • Drive early-stage project engagement and specification strategy.

  • Ensure structured pipeline management and disciplined execution.

  • Support major negotiations and key account penetration.

  • Foster collaboration with Technical, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance.

Strategic Sales Growth & Market Share Expansion

  • Define and execute growth roadmap by sector (Residential, Hospitality, Healthcare, Education, Commercial).

  • Identify underpenetrated segments and expansion opportunities.

  • Drive new product introduction and system selling.

  • Monitor competitor dynamics and proactively adapt strategy.

Customer Centricity & Value Proposition

  • Embed customer-first mindset across sales organization.

  • Promote system-based selling and value over price.

  • Ensure high service standards and proactive issue resolution.

  • Strengthening market positioning of Knauf as premium partner.

People Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Build, coach, and develop a high-performing regional sales organization.

  • Define clear KPIs and accountability framework.

  • Develop succession plans and talent pipeline.

  • Empower team leaders while maintaining performance governance.

  • Promote collaboration and cross-market learning (UAE–Oman).

What we’d love for you to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business, Engineering, or similar).

  • 10+ years in sales (preferably technical / B2B / construction).

  • Language preference: English (Arabic / Hindi is a plus).

  • A strategic yet hands-on commercial leader.

  • Relationship-driven with strong executive presence.

  • Performance-oriented with strong financial acumen.

  • Passionate about developing people and building winning teams.

  • Customer-centric and market-focused.

  • Proven leadership experience.

  • Experience managing large teams & P&L.

  • Strong commercial acumen & strategic thinking.
