Reports to: Sr. Director, Sales
Location: 10 Carlson Court, Etobicoke, ON (Hybrid)
Purpose: As a Director of Sales for Canadian Dairy, you will be a key member of our sales leadership team, responsible for developing and executing sales strategies that drive growth and maximize revenue within the Canadian market. Your primary focus will be on establishing and nurturing relationships at the highest levels within Canadian customers, ensuring our products are prominently featured and our brand is well-positioned.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the Canadian market, with a specific focus on customers connected to consumers
• Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with senior executives and key decision-makers within Canadian organizations
• Lead and mentor a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to achieve sales targets and objectives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, Go2Market and supply chain, to ensure the successful introduction and promotion of dairy products
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats, adjusting sales strategies accordingly
• Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to the executive team
• Drive revenue growth by identifying new market segments and expanding product offerings
• Negotiate and finalize contracts and agreements with our customer partners, ensuring mutually beneficial terms
• Responsible for trade spending/budgeting and promotional activities
• Strategy development through category management and market share data
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive sales experience in the dairy or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry, with a proven track record of success with multiple customers
• Exceptional ability to establish and nurture relationships with senior-level executives
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a sales team
• Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of market dynamics and trends
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
• Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies that drive growth
• Strong analytical skills to assess performance and identify areas for improvement
• Knowledge of the Canadian dairy industry and regulatory environment is a plus
• Willingness to travel as needed.
