Sales Director, North America

$90K - $115K annually dependent on experience; plus commission + bonus

Denver, CO (minimum 3 days per week in our RiNo office)

Are you an adventure-loving sales leadership professional looking to take the next step in your career? Our fast growing, ambitious, multinational team is looking for a Sales Director (North America) to help propel our growth.

This is a hands-on, fast paced leadership role where no two days look the same. From coaching and developing a high-performing team to analyzing sales performance, improving conversion, and championing new technology and AI-driven ways of working, you'll have real ownership and the opportunity to make a significant impact on one of our most important growth markets.

You'll balance people leadership, commercial performance, and continuous improvement—spotting opportunities in the data, solving challenges, and collaborating with teams across the business to create outstanding customer experiences and drive sustainable growth.

The Sales Director (North America) will report to our Head of Sales, Jasper Verlaan, and plays a big part in the expansion and success of Macs Adventure.

What you’ll do

Sales Management

You'll lead a team of 10–12 Sales Specialists, creating an environment where people are supported, challenged and empowered to perform at their best. This means owning performance against sales, innovation, and productivity targets, not from a distance, but by working closely with your team every week.

You'll set the pace and direction, creating a high-performance culture where people know exactly what's expected and feel genuinely motivated to deliver it. That means structured, high-quality weekly 1-2-1s and team meetings that drive performance and development.

Your job is to coach and develop your team to deliver a seamless customer experience, and when escalations land on your desk, you handle them decisively a and implement solutions that have a lasting impact. You'll also be the bridge between Sales and other departments, ensuring that working with your team is a great experience for cross-functional colleagues and customers alike.

You'll build your team the Macs Adventure way, through our recruitment, onboarding, and training approach, and you hold the bar high. We're looking for someone who knows how to identify great talent, develop people to reach their potential, and build an engaged, high-performing team.

Innovation

This is a role for someone who enjoys identifying new opportunities and finding better ways of working. You'll be expected to actively seek out and champion AI and technology solutions that help our sales organization perform at its best. Presenting ideas, taking initiative, and putting us at the forefront of what's possible in our industry. What You'll Bring

  • A proven track record of 5+ years in sales management, with real results to show for it. You've led teams, hit targets, and built something you're proud of

  • Leadership style that motivates and develops people, creating an environment where individuals and teams can perform at their best

  • Demonstrated experience driving technology and innovation within a sales environment, ideally including CRM systems and emerging AI tools

  • Outstanding communication skills, you're confident and articulate at every level, from a customer call to a boardroom conversation

  • A proactive, solutions-first mindset, you spot problems early and show up with answers, not just questions

  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to keep yourself and your team performing consistently under pressure

  • A genuine love of the outdoors and active travel, you don't just sell Macs Adventure trips, you live and breathe what we're about

  • Direct-to-consumer experience & Travel/Hospitality industry experience are definite pluses
