Job Description

For a leading distributor operating in the FMCG sector.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the company’s sales operations across Field Sales, Regional/Area Sales and Key Account Management.
  • Manage and develop the sales leadership structure, including a Field Sales Director overseeing approximately 40 field employees and a team of 5 KAM/SKAM professionals.
  • Define and execute the sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and increase market share.
  • Represent the company in the market, building and maintaining strong relationships with key retailers, customers and strategic business partners.
  • Leverage an established professional network to identify and develop new commercial opportunities and partnerships.
  • Map the market and identify opportunities for growth, portfolio expansion and increased commercial penetration.
  • Drive business development and support expansion into new product categories beyond food, including personal care.
  • Oversee the commercial performance of a large and diverse product portfolio, ensuring effective sales execution.
  • Monitor sales performance, commercial KPIs and P&L related metrics, while maintaining oversight of relevant logistics operations.
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM to improve sales visibility, performance monitoring and commercial decision making, while collaborating closely with Trade Marketing to ensure alignment with the overall commercial strategy.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in FMCG sales, including significant experience in senior sales or commercial leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of managing large, multi-layered sales teams across Field Sales, Regional/Area Sales and Key Account Management.
  • Strong understanding of the Greek FMCG market, retail landscape and distribution business model.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing sales strategies that deliver revenue growth and increased market share.
  • Experience in managing complex product portfolios and a broad range of SKUs.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including the ability to read and interpret P&L statements.
  • Experience in identifying new business opportunities and developing commercial partnerships.
  • Excellent leadership, people management and team development capabilities.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, ideally Salesforce, and the ability to leverage data for commercial decision making.
