Job Description

Outdoor adventure connects and strengthens us

That's what we believe at Sea to Summit. For more than 35 years we've been designing gear that helps people adventure with confidence. From ultralight sleeping mats trusted on Everest expeditions to dry bags built for Kimberley kayak crossings. Headquartered in Perth, we're a global outdoor brand with operations across Australia, China, the US, Germany, Switzerland and Sweden, and our gear is sold in more than 60 countries.

We're looking for a Sales Director - Distributors to join our Sales team for a 12-month parental leave contract. If you love the rigour of forecasting and want to put your skills behind a brand that genuinely makes things people love using, we'd like to hear from you.

  • Build and execute annual sales strategies across global distributor markets, owning revenue and margin targets
  • Develop strong distributor partnerships, overseeing contracts, compliance and commercial terms
  • Provide sales forecasting inputs to support demand planning accuracy
  • Lead and support a high-performing distributor sales function across regions
  • Identify and plan for new market, channel and geographic expansion opportunities
  • Lead distributor business reviews to track performance and align on goals
  • Champion digital B2B tools to drive efficiency across the sales process
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate promotional or clearance activity as needed
  • Deliver regular sales performance reports and forecasts to senior leadership

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business or related field (desirable)
  • Proven experience in a similar senior sales role, preferably in outdoor or branded lifestyle
  • Strong understanding of retail market dynamics, distributor and stakeholder needs
  • Experience in sales planning, reporting, merchandise planning and category management
  • Demonstrated budgeting, buying and trend analysis capability
  • Ability to lead and manage teams in a fast-moving, evolving environment
  • Familiarity with product design and development concepts an advantage

Additional Information

  • 12-month parental leave contract
  • Hybrid working Australia
  • A genuinely good team, in a business where people enjoy the work and the people they work with
  • Generous staff discount on the gear (and the gear is good)
  • The chance to be part of a global outdoor brand that's growing internationally while keeping its roots in Perth

A note on the contract

This is a parental leave cover with a defined 12-month term. We've structured it that way because we're holding the role for the current incumbent's return. We'll be upfront about that from the start, and we'll treat you well throughout the contract.

Sea to Summit is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and lived experiences. If you need any adjustments to the recruitment process, let us know and we'll work with you.
