Your role:

As Sales Director for West & North Europe (f/m), you will lead the commercial strategy for BioMonitoring solutions that help pharmaceutical manufacturers protect patients and bring life-saving medicines to market. You will manage and inspire a high-performing team of Field Sales Specialists and Line Managers across a strategically important region.

You will own short- and long-term sales targets, commercial KPIs, forecasting accuracy, and sustainable revenue growth. By setting clear goals and providing focused coaching, you will turn performance ambitions into measurable results. You will build a culture of accountability, customer focus, and continuous development that attracts, retains, and grows exceptional talent. You will create career development plans that strengthen the team today while preparing future leaders for tomorrow.

As a member of the wider EMEA leadership community, you will shape commercial strategy, tactical planning, and local execution. You will turn market intelligence into action and unlock synergies across Advanced Solutions, Supply Chain, Customer Excellence, distributors, and local commercial teams. You will cultivate trusted relationships with senior pharmaceutical customers and ensure seamless coordination across regional and global accounts.

This is an opportunity to combine sales leadership, scientific expertise, and strategic influence to build lasting commercial impact.

This is a field-based position that may be filled in France or in other strategic European markets, such as the United Kingdom, Ireland or the Benelux region.

Who you are:

  • You have at least five years of experience leading commercial teams in the pharmaceutical microbiology quality-control market, with a strong understanding of customers, buying cycles, and the competitive landscape.
  • You have a proven track record of delivering sales growth, expanding margins, and managing commercial performance through clear targets, rigorous forecasting, and decisive action.
  • You are an inspiring people leader who coaches actively, develops talent, promotes from within, and creates a culture where high standards and collaboration go hand in hand.
  • You hold a Master's or PhD in a Life Science discipline and/or a Master's degree in Business, enabling you to connect scientific value with commercial strategy.
  • You build credible, long-term relationships with senior pharmaceutical stakeholders and know how to align distributors and cross-functional partners around shared priorities.
  • You bring a hands-on, customer-centric mindset and are willing to step in, solve problems, and support your team when it matters most.
  • You communicate fluently in business English and in at least one relevant regional language, such as French, Dutch, or another local language.
  • You are comfortable travelling regularly across the region and hold a valid driver's license.
