Horizon Sports & Experiences (HS&E) is a full-service sports marketing agency With a fully integrated service model, HS&E includes a core focus on IP creation and monetization, strategic advisory and consulting, media rights, sponsorship, sales, and experiential strategy and activation.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Driving and catalyzing growth is the most essential higher order job to be done at HS&E. The Sales Director, Podcast and Audio Sponsorship Sales will report to the SVP and Head of Global Partnerships and play a critical role in launching and scaling revenue for IX to Five, our new women’s sports media joint venture with TOGETHXR.

This role will be responsible for developing and establishing new business opportunities tied to HS&E and TOGETHXR’s creation of IX to Five, a platform focused on creating, developing, and commercializing women’s sports content through premium storytelling, unique intellectual property, signature live experiences, and high value brand partnerships.

The Sales Director will combine creativity with commercial rigor to build awareness, drive revenue, and position IX to Five’s podcast and audio portfolio as a must buy platform in the marketplace. This includes packaging and selling integrated sponsorship programs that connect brands authentically to the fastest growing space in sports.

This role will also manage the day-to-day commercial relationship with TOGETHXR, serving as a key point of contact to ensure alignment on revenue strategy, go to market priorities, packaging, and client execution. The Sales Director will collaborate cross functionally with internal HS&E stakeholders across partnerships, strategy, creative, marketing, and operations to ensure seamless execution and growth.

The ideal candidate is resourceful and innovative, with a strong understanding of the sports and media landscape. They are a creative dealmaker with an entrepreneurial mindset and experience working with clients and agencies to structure custom, content driven sponsorships across audio, digital, live experiences, and intellectual property.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential Functions (Sales and Sales Support):

• Develop, structure, and close high value sponsorship and marketing partnerships across the IX to Five podcast and audio portfolio, as well as broader HS&E platforms

• Serve as the primary commercial liaison between HS&E and TOGETHXR for IX to Five, managing day to day alignment on revenue strategy, go to market priorities, packaging, and client execution

• Build and manage a robust new business pipeline, establishing a meaningful book of revenue as a core member of the HS&E Sales team

• Develop and maintain senior level relationships with brand marketers, sports marketing executives, and media agency decision makers

• Partner closely with internal strategy, marketing, creative, experiential, and joint venture teams to lead pitch development and create compelling, monetizable storytelling platforms

• Provide consistent pipeline reporting, sales updates, and marketplace intelligence in weekly sales leadership meetings

• Maintain daily communication and strategic alignment with the SVP of Sales to ensure revenue pacing and priority focus

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform the Sales Director job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • 5+ years of sports sales experience working directly in Podcast/Audio space
  • Existing relationships with executives and decision makers at Fortune 500 companies as well as sports marketing agencies
  • Self-motivated with entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work independently and within team settings
  • Experience selling in the women’s sports space
  • An understanding of agency dynamics, how they operate and awareness of campaign planning and buying cycles
  • Creative and resourceful with excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Experience managing a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Master collaborator/ team player who excels in mediating among multiple divisions
  • High level of organizational and time management skills, with an emphasis on driving tasks to completion and meeting deadlines.
  • Possess an optimistic team attitude and competitive desire to win

Salary Range

$140,000.00 - $180,000.00

A successful applicant’s actual base salary may vary based on factors such as individual’s skill sets, experience, training, education, licensure/certifications, and qualifications for the role.
