Job Description

The Sales Director - Accounts is a pivotal commercial role within Lendscape, responsible for both winning new business and growing the commercial footprint within existing customer accounts. Bridging the gap between new business development and strategic account management, this role drives revenue across the full customer lifecycle — from initial acquisition through to long-term expansion — contributing directly to the organisation's growth goals.

The role spans a defined market of nationwide small to mid-size equipment finance lenders, community banks, and enterprise financial services organisations, working alongside Customer Success, Marketing, and wider delivery teams to maximise commercial impact.

Requirements

New Business Development

  • Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities through networking, market research, and lead generation within the defined target market.
  • Develop a robust sales pipeline and ensure its steady, consistent growth.
  • Customise sales tactics and presentations to target the specific needs and interests of individual prospects.
  • Leverage Lendscape's established demand generation, pre-sales, and implementation capabilities to accelerate deal progression.

Account Management & Growth

  • Serve as the primary commercial contact for assigned accounts, ensuring consistent engagement with customers' strategic initiatives.
  • Identify and execute upsell and cross-sell opportunities within the existing account base to drive expansion revenue.
  • Develop and maintain commercial account plans that form the commercial component of Lendscape's customer objectives.
  • Own and deliver against a defined revenue target spanning both new business and existing account growth.

Customer Engagement & Advocacy

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships, understanding customer needs and aligning solutions to their individual business goals.
  • Work alongside Customer Success and Product teams to proactively advocate for customer product needs, representing the voice of the customer internally.
  • Contribute to cross-functional efforts to maximise account growth opportunities and support customer satisfaction.

Market & Strategic Intelligence

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market activities, and competitor strategies within Fintech, Receivables Finance, and Asset Finance.
  • Utilise market knowledge to develop competitive and innovative commercial solutions and position Lendscape as a strategic partner.
  • Contribute to the broader commercial strategy, including scalable account management and sales processes.

Reporting & Performance

  • Track and report on commercial performance across both pipeline and existing accounts, identifying areas for improvement and strategic alignment.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and analyse data to understand effectiveness and areas for improvement.
  • Report on market forces influencing the territory and provide regular visibility on sales achievements to the CRO.

Professional Knowledge & Experience

  • Proven track record in a combined new business and account management role, ideally within a SaaS, Fintech, or enterprise software environment.
  • Domain expertise in commercial sales and account management, preferably within cloud-based financial solutions.
  • Industry knowledge of enterprise software solutions such as ERP, CRM, or EPM; experience in Receivables Finance, Asset Finance, or Equipment Finance is a strong advantage.
  • Experience managing large accounts, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
  • Self-starter mentality with experience operating in start-up or scale-up environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Relevant certifications in account management, customer success, or cloud technologies are a plus.
