We are seeking a Sales Director to lead the Service Sales business in Japan, responsible for driving sustainable growth, strengthening strategic customer partnerships, and leading a high-performing commercial organization.

This leader will play a critical role in expanding lifecycle service solutions across our installed base and key enterprise customers. The role requires a strong balance of strategic leadership, commercial execution, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment between sales, service delivery, and product divisions.

The Sales Director will serve as a key member of the Japan commercial leadership team and act as a senior representative of the company with strategic customers.

Scope of Responsibility

  • Lead the Service Sales business across Japan
  • Own service order growth including:
    • Service contracts
    • Enterprise service agreements
    • Lifecycle and aftermarket solutions
  • Drive strategic engagement with enterprise customers and key accounts
  • Partner closely with service delivery, product divisions, and regional leadership
  • Lead and develop the Japan Service Sales organization

Key Objectives

  • Deliver consistent service sales growth and profitability
  • Increase service attach rate and lifecycle value across the installed base
  • Strengthen executive-level relationships with strategic customers
  • Ensure strong collaboration between sales and service delivery organizations
  • Build a high-performing sales culture focused on customer success

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of service sales professionals across Japan
  • Establish clear operating cadence and performance management
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and customer focus
  • Develop future leadership talent within the organization

Leadership Capabilities

  • Strategic mindset with strong execution discipline
  • Ability to influence across multiple internal stakeholders
  • Strong people leadership and team development capability

Market Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of the Japanese business environment and customer expectations
  • Experience building trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders

Language

  • Fluent in Japanese and English

The ideal candidate will be a credible commercial leader who can build trust with customers, align multiple internal organizations, and drive sustainable service growth in Japan.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 12–15+ years of commercial leadership experience

  • Proven success leading service, solution, or technology sales organizations

  • Experience managing enterprise customers and complex sales environments

  • Experience leading teams within multinational organizations is preferred

This job has a full time weekly schedule.Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
