Thomson Reuters is looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our Asia & Emerging Markets (AEM) team based in Malaysia.
As part of our regional sales organization, the SDR team plays a critical role in driving pipeline growth across Southeast Asia and other emerging markets. You will focus on outbound prospecting, account research, lead qualification, and early-stage opportunity development for our enterprise and mid-market sales teams.
About the Role
In this opportunity as Sales Development Representative, you will be focusing on:
Outbound Prospecting & Pipeline Generation - Identify and engage high-potential accounts through outbound prospecting activities including calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, and sales engagement platforms.
Research & Account Intelligence - Conduct account and stakeholder research to identify decision-makers, business challenges, and trigger events.
Lead Qualification - Qualify prospects using agreed qualification methodologies such as BANT, MEDDIC, or other sales qualification frameworks.
Sales Collaboration - Work closely with Account Executives and regional sales leadership on account strategies, outreach sequencing, and pipeline generation initiatives.
Product & Solution Knowledge - Develop a strong understanding of Thomson Reuters solutions across tax, compliance, legal, finance, and regulatory technology domains.
CRM & Sales Excellence - Maintain accurate records of prospect interactions, outreach activity, and qualification details within Salesforce and sales engagement tools.
About You
You are a fit for the role of Sales Development Representative if your background includes:
Minimum 2 years of experience in SDR, BDR, inside sales, lead generation, or outbound B2B sales roles.
Strong outbound prospecting and cold outreach experience, ideally within SaaS, technology, or enterprise solutions.
Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding activity, meeting-setting, or pipeline generation targets.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills with confidence engaging senior business stakeholders.
Experience using Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach, Salesloft, or similar sales engagement tools.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively.
