Description

ABOUT US

Rep Data consists of a group of experienced industry veterans revolutionizing the survey data and sampling process. Our clients include top management consultancies, market research agencies, and brands. Our mission is to make our clients’ research process easier and to be a reliable, repeatable data collection partner. For life! If you are passionate about delighting customers and simplifying the inherent complexities of data collection, we want to hear from you!

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) plays a key role in building Rep Data’s sales pipeline by identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospective clients. SDRs are focused on creating new sales opportunities through strategic outbound prospecting, thoughtful follow-up, and effective communication of Rep Data’s value proposition.

You will research target accounts, connect with prospective buyers, identify potential needs, qualify interest, and generate qualified introductory meetings (IQMs) for Account Executives.

The SDR owns the front end of the sales process, from prospecting through qualification and scheduling the introductory meeting. The SDR is responsible for ensuring the meeting is held and will work with Sales Leadership to assign the appropriate Account Executive to participate. Once a qualified opportunity is handed off, the Account Executive owns advancing the opportunity through the sales process and closing the business.

SDRs are assigned to a specific Sales Team and work closely with their AEs to support pipeline and revenue growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research target companies, industries, and contacts to identify prospective clients and new sales opportunities.
  • Execute consistent outbound prospecting through email, phone, LinkedIn, and other approved channels.
  • Engage inbound and outbound leads to understand their needs, assess potential fit, and qualify opportunities for the sales team.
  • Clearly and confidently communicate Rep Data’s value proposition, capabilities, and differentiators to prospective clients.
  • Generate qualified introductory meetings (IQMs) for Account Executives.
  • Own prospect follow-up through the introductory meeting, including confirming meetings and maintaining engagement to support strong meeting completion rates.
  • Conduct an effective handoff to the appropriate AE, including relevant prospect background, needs, interests, and outreach history.
  • Build and maintain an organized pipeline of prospects (customer and net new prospects).
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of prospecting activities, contacts, meetings, qualification details, and outcomes in Salesforce.
  • Partner closely with assigned AEs to identify priority accounts, target contacts, and outbound strategies.
  • Collaborate with marketing and own warm lead follow-ups related to campaigns and events. This includes partnership on messaging, nurture campaigns and other lead-generation initiatives.
  • Share prospect feedback and market insights with Sales, Marketing, and other internal teams.
  • Support conference and event prospecting by researching attendees, identifying priority contacts, coordinating outreach, and generating meetings.

SUCCESS METRICS

The primary measure of SDR success is the consistent generation of qualified introductory meetings (IQMs) that are completed/held, rather than simply meetings scheduled. SDRs are accountable for generating and qualifying opportunities through the IQM and completing an effective handoff.

  • Quality of qualification and successful handoff of opportunities to AEs
  • Meeting show/completion rate
  • Additional leading indicators may include outbound activity, prospect engagement, response rates, and conversion from outreach to qualified meeting.
  • Daily or weekly activity expectations may be established by the manager based on role level, territory, and sales priorities.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 2+ years of experience in sales development, inside sales, business development, lead generation, or another client-facing role.
  • Market Research & SaaS experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience with outbound prospecting and lead qualification, including phone, email, and social outreach.
  • Strong research skills with the ability to identify target accounts, decision-makers, and new sales opportunities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to initiate conversations and clearly articulate Rep Data’s value proposition.
  • Strong discovery and qualification skills, with the curiosity to uncover prospect needs and identify potential fit.
  • Experience with CRM and sales prospecting tools; Salesforce experience is a plus.
  • Highly organized with strong follow-through and the ability to manage a high volume of prospects while maintaining accurate CRM records.
  • Goal-oriented and motivated by measurable results in a performance-driven sales environment.
  • Persistent and resilient, with the ability to navigate rejection, adapt outreach strategies, and maintain momentum.
  • Collaborative, coachable, and able to partner effectively with Account Executives, Marketing, and other team members.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and professional when engaging prospective clients and representing Rep Data at industry events.
  • We use Salesforce, Hubspot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, SalesLoft, Gong, and Claude for this work. Experience with as many of these platforms as possible is positive.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Competitive base salary, plus opportunity for bonus program based on company and individual performance
  • Employer subsidized medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • 401K plan and matching program
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Work from home with reimbursements for work-related expenses
