Sales Development Representative at Vic.ai

Location: Raleigh, NC | Hybrid — 2 days per week in office

Vic.ai is transforming finance and accounting through AI. Our autonomous finance platform helps mid-market and enterprise organizations automate invoice processing, improve accuracy, and eliminate manual work so finance teams can focus on higher-value work.

We are looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing sales organization in Raleigh. This is an opportunity to play a critical role in building pipeline and creating new customer relationships with mid-market and enterprise organizations.

We’re looking for someone who is curious, highly resourceful, commercially minded, and excited about AI. You’ll use a combination of research, creativity, technology, and AI to identify the right prospects, understand their businesses, craft compelling outreach, and create meaningful conversations with finance leaders.

This is not a traditional high-volume SDR role. We want someone who can think strategically, leverage AI to work smarter, and continuously improve how we prospect and engage potential customers. You’ll have the opportunity to help shape our sales development motion while working closely with Sales, Marketing, and other teams across Vic.ai.

What You’ll Do

• Research target accounts and use AI, data, and sales intelligence tools to identify high-value prospects, relevant stakeholders, business priorities, and potential opportunities.
• Develop creative, highly personalized outbound campaigns across email, phone, LinkedIn, and other channels.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate account research, develop messaging, identify patterns, personalize outreach, and continuously improve prospecting effectiveness.
• Build thoughtful account strategies rather than relying solely on high-volume outreach.
• Engage CFOs, Controllers, AP leaders, and other finance stakeholders by understanding their business challenges and connecting those challenges to the value of Vic.ai.
• Become deeply knowledgeable about AI, autonomous finance, AP automation, and the broader accounting technology landscape.
• Develop a strong understanding of how mid-market and enterprise finance organizations operate, including their processes, systems, challenges, and priorities.
• Qualify inbound and outbound prospects and create high-quality sales opportunities for Account Executives.
• Manage your prospecting pipeline and activity through Salesforce and tools such as Outreach, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
• Use AI and automation to continuously improve your workflows, productivity, and effectiveness.
• Test new approaches to messaging, targeting, and prospect engagement — and use data to understand what works.
• Partner closely with Account Executives and Sales leadership to develop account strategies and maintain a healthy pipeline.
• Capture prospect feedback and market insights and share them with Sales, Marketing, Product, and leadership.
• Consistently achieve and exceed agreed-upon pipeline, opportunity, and activity goals.

• A track record of setting and achieving goals in a professional, academic, athletic, or other performance-oriented environment.
• An entrepreneurial mindset and enthusiasm for working in a fast-moving company where you will have the opportunity to help build the process, not simply follow it.

It’s a Plus If You Have

• 1+ year of SDR/BDR or other outbound sales experience.
• Experience selling SaaS, fintech, accounting, payments, AP/AR, or other financial technology.
• Experience selling to finance or accounting organizations.
• Familiarity with AI tools and a demonstrated ability to use them to improve your work.
• Experience with Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar sales technology.
• Experience working at a startup or high-growth technology company.
