Job Description

MRI is looking for a high-calibre Sales Development Representative to join our Living Solutions team. You will be responsible for engaging inbound inquiries, qualifying prospective customers, and helping create high-quality sales opportunities through timely, thoughtful customer interactions.

Your job is to connect with prospective customers, understand their situation, identify their needs, and determine whether there is a fit for MRI's Living Solutions. You will engage with prospects across phone, email, and other inbound channels, ensuring every inquiry receives a professional and responsive experience. While you are not expected to be a product expert on day one, there is a clear expectation that you develop a strong working understanding of what we sell, why it matters, and where it delivers value.

This role suits someone who is commercially curious, articulate, disciplined, and ambitious, and who wants to build a long-term career in B2B technology sales.

Key Responsibilities

Inbound Lead Management & Qualification

• Engage inbound and marketing-generated leads promptly (within agreed SLAs).
• Respond to inquiries across phone, email, web forms, and other inbound channels.
• Conduct discovery conversations to understand prospect needs, challenges, timelines, and fit for MRI's Living Solutions.
• Qualify prospects using a structured qualification framework, assessing business need, fit, decision-making process, urgency/timeline, and budget awareness.
• Prepare a standardised handoff brief for every qualified meeting, including prospect context, confirmed challenges, stakeholders involved, and any objections or concerns surfaced.
• Own the show-rate: send confirmation sequences, manage calendar logistics, and re-engage no-shows within 24 hours.
• Manage recycled or stalled leads through defined re-engagement cadences to nurture high-potential opportunities until they are ready to buy.
• Schedule high-quality discovery meetings that progress real opportunities.

Customer & Market Intelligence

• Build a working understanding of the rental housing, multifamily, and property technology landscape.
• Capture insights from customer conversations in CRM to strengthen qualification and sales strategies.
• Identify common customer challenges, market trends, and buying triggers that can help improve future outreach and qualification efforts.

Operational Excellence

• Maintain clean, accurate, and detailed records.
• Use sales and business tools consistently to manage activity, follow-up, and opportunity progression.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Leadership teams to stay aligned with business priorities.
• Adapt quickly to new systems, technologies, and processes as the business evolves.

Continuous Development

• Actively build knowledge of MRI's solutions and the business problems they solve.
• Develop best-practice skills in business communication, discovery, qualification, and objection handling.
• Own your personal development plan: identify skill gaps, set quarterly growth goals, and actively seek coaching. Your manager will support you, but the initiative starts with you.
• Share learnings, winning conversations, and customer insights with the broader SDR team through regular team sessions.
• Seek and apply coaching with a mindset of continuous improvement.

Tools You'll Use

• A variety of CRM, sales engagement, communication, and business productivity tools. Success in this role requires curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to learn new technologies quickly.

• You generate high-quality meetings that convert into real pipeline.
• Prospects have a positive experience engaging with you and trust your recommendations.
• Data is clean, current, and adds value to reporting and forecasting.
• You are seen as a trusted first point of contact for prospective customers.

Experience & Capabilities

• We care more about capability and mindset than years on a CV. That said, you likely bring:
• 12+ months' experience in sales, business development, customer service, call centre, BPO, hospitality, or a related customer-facing role.
• Strong written and spoken business English.
• Confidence speaking with professionals at different levels of seniority.
• Experience using CRM systems, business software, or the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• High attention to detail and a disciplined approach to follow-up and process.
