Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Wilmington, DE

Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Hybrid (3 days a week onsite, 2 days remote)

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to drive pipeline growth by engaging prospective customers and generating qualified sales opportunities.

This role is responsible for responding to inbound leads, proactively prospecting into target accounts, and nurturing early-stage relationships to secure qualified meetings for our senior sales team.

The ideal candidate is energetic, disciplined, and thrives in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment where success is measured by activity, quality conversations, meeting generation and pipeline creation

Key Responsibilities

Lead Qualification & Meeting Generation

  • Respond to inbound leads quickly and professionally (target: within 15 minutes)
  • Qualify prospects based on business needs, timing, and fit
  • Schedule and confirm qualified meetings for Account Executives
  • Ensure all meetings meet defined qualification standards

Outbound Prospecting

  • Conduct high-volume outbound outreach via:
    • Cold calling
    • Email campaigns
    • LinkedIn and other channels
  • Identify and engage decision-makers within target accounts
  • Schedule and confirm qualified meetings for Account Executives

Lead Nurturing

  • Maintain ongoing communication with prospects not yet ready to engage
  • Re-engage dormant or aged leads
  • Develop thoughtful follow-up strategies to convert interest into meetings

CRM & Pipeline Management

  • Accurately log all activity in Salesforce
  • Maintain clean and up-to-date lead & prospect records
  • Track engagement, progress, and outcomes for all leads
  • Partner closely with Account Executives to ensure smooth handoff of meetings/opportunities

Performance & Activity Management

  • Meet or exceed monthly targets for:
    • Qualified meetings set and held
    • Outbound activity (calls, emails, touches)
    • Conversion rates from lead to meeting
  • Maintain high standards of responsiveness, professionalism, and follow-through

Success Metrics

Success in this role is measured by:

  • Number of qualified meetings held
  • Meetings that generate pipeline for the sales team
  • Conversion rates from lead to opportunity
  • Consistency of outbound prospecting activity
  • Speed and effectiveness of inbound lead response

Qualifications

  • 0–3+ years of experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable with high-volume outreach and phone-based prospecting
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset
  • Ability to handle rejection and remain persistent
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools is a plus

Compensation

This role offers a competitive compensation package including:

  • Base salary + performance-based variable compensation
