About the role:

TargetBay is seeking a talented Sales Development Representative (SDR) with exceptional writing and speaking skills to join us. You’ll be responsible for presenting our products - BayEngage, BayReviews, and BayRewards in ways that will strengthen our brand and boost sales. Your goal will be to develop and implement the most profitable plans to position and promote our products.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain a self-starter attitude while creating outreach strategies for new lead-generation methods
  • Become a product expert across our entire platform and understand our competitor landscape
  • Source and qualify enterprise leads and actively participate in refining our SDR processes
  • Outbound with strategic and thoughtful messaging to upmarket prospects
  • Partner with marketing to manage outbound campaigns to increase lead volume
  • Prospect into new accounts using proven sales methodology
  • Maintain and update accurate records in CRM
  • Anticipate needs by studying services and conducting market research to identify new leads
  • Support senior sales teams and sales representatives on outbound strategies and lead-generating efforts
  • Work on relevant channels - emails, cold calling, and LinkedIn to drive growth
  • Monitor and attend meetings with prospects while handling the introductions and follow-up with the sales representatives
  • Track and share prospect feedback to help refine sales and marketing strategies and messaging
  • Collaborate with sales teams by bringing innovative lead-generation ideas to each weekly meeting

Who you are:

- You’re someone who has 3+yrs of outbound SDR experience

- You’re organized and know how to structure your day successfully

- You love to learn, curiosity is in your DNA

- You aren’t afraid to call + email strangers

- You’re a great listener and hear what prospects are saying (and also what they aren’t saying)

- You know how to respond to the dreaded “we are all good,” and other common objections (or even better, you know how to prevent them)

- You can quickly build rapport and empathize with prospects, leading to intro calls with our sales team

Ideal Candidate Background

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience using CRM and sales engagement tools
  • Strong writing skills
  • Experience with cold calling a high volume of prospects
  • Ability to collaborate with others and work cross-functionally among different teams at Rippling
  • Desire to join a competitive team-based environment
  • Knowledge of eCommerce platforms - Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, and Magento would be a big plus.
  • Ability to consistently meet tight deadlines.
