Job Description

Job Title: ICG Rates Sales – Desk Enabler, Analyst/Associate

Location: Mumbai, India

  • The FIC ICG Sales Enabler team works closely with the onshore EMEA Sales desk to support daily business activities and client execution

    It will ensure accurate and timely booking, amendment, and lifecycle management of all products trading within FIC. The role supports Sales, Trading, MO, Ops, Documentation, and Technology to maintain trade integrity, reduce operational risk, and strengthen front‑to‑back controls across the ICG businesses. Candidates with experience in Middle Office, Sales Support, Trading Support, or Trade Management roles within an investment banking environment are preferred.

Your key responsibilities

  • Trade Lifecycle
  • Assist with ensuring match trades that cannot be auto‑captured are captured correctly with accurate routing.
  • Reconcile bookings to trade recaps and resolve mismatches.
  • Execute non‑economic amendments (book transfers, accrual adjustments) based on Trading/Sales instructions.
  • Assist with EFP/EFR transactions, ensuring flow into exchanges following established London workflow standards.
  • Perform bond/derivative amendments and validate any PV or economic impact.
  • Execute non‑economic trade splits and manage exercised swap booking amendments.
  • Escalate confirmation discrepancies to Documentation and coordinate resolution.
  • Process syndication orders, release E‑tickets, and send v‑cons without delay.

    Bilateral Unwinds
  • Coordinate manual MO intervention; ensure Trading matches unwind events.
  • Send unwind recaps to OTC Confirmations teams and support structured unwind packages (xccy, step‑ins, splits).
  • Novations

  • Manage approvals, affirmation, and timely release for DB remaining‑party novations.
  • Book and remove placeholder entries for DB step‑in novations.
  • Oversee fund‑to‑fund novations ensuring end-to-end process is completed.

    Onboarding & Static Data
  • Manage onboarding for entities not fully set up for cash bonds / Repo /derivatives; ensure readiness through settlement.
  • Maintain static data, including but not limited to collateral mappings, account code creation, etc.
  • Where relevant, set up futures execution agreements and static data for TOP accounts/give‑ups.
  • Monitor EOD futures settlements across currencies and coordinate follow‑through cross regions.
  • Manage EMIR classification follow‑ups requested by Middle Office.

    Problem Solving
  • Maintain a live log of booking/workflow issues and involve relevant parties to assist with timely resolution with Tech/Ops.
  • Maintain and update escalation matrices across all time zones for urgent trade/settlement matters.
  • Resolve bond settlement issues by coordinating with internal and external teams to minimise settlement fines.
  • Chase and clear trade affirmations and unmatched bond tickets (DB‑side or client‑side).
  • Follow up on margin calls, unpaid coupons, and cash‑flow discrepancies with Margin and Derivatives Settlements.
  • Add and maintain RCs (trade‑linked or manual) and secure required approvals.

Your skills and experience

  • Excellent skills in MS Office – Excel and Powerpoint
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of Fixed Income products
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
