In this role, you will assume full responsibility for both the commercial development of key customer relationships and the end-to-end management of customer contracts in the rail and maintenance business for the Scandinavian region.
You act as the primary point of contact for all customer inquiries in Scandinavia (Sweden, Norway, and Denmark), providing customers and prospects with professional, flexible, and solution-oriented support for all matters related to both new business opportunities and existing contracts
You prepare, price, and negotiate customer proposals in the locomotive leasing business
You proactively acquire new customers and strategically develop existing accounts to drive sustainable business growth
You manage locomotive leasing and maintenance contracts throughout their entire lifecycle—from the pre-contract phase and implementation through to asset return and post-contract activities
You develop, negotiate, and administer customer agreements and framework contracts, ensuring both commercial success and contractual compliance.
You ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and coordinate all aspects of customer relationship management
You support complex Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth proposal and contract execution
You manage contract amendments, prepare quotations for additional services, oversee billing-related matters, and resolve contractual as well as payment-related issues
You analyze market trends and competitive developments and develop business cases and pricing strategies
You organize and oversee operational activities such as deliveries, returns, replacement vehicles, logistics, and training; handle customer complaints and technical disputes; and ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements
You define, track, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction
You hold a degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field
You have several years of experience in sales, contract management, or a comparable commercial and technical role, ideally within the rail industry or heavy industry
You possess a solid understanding of railway technology and B2B contract structures in an international environment
You have experience in commercial negotiations and, ideally, contract management
You combine strong communication skills with sound commercial acumen and consistently focus on driving business success
You are highly customer- and service-oriented and have strong negotiation skills.
You work independently, take a solution-oriented approach, and are able to prioritize effectively
You enjoy working in cross-functional and international teams
You are fluent in English and possess professional proficiency in Swedish, Norwegian, or Danish; additional European language skills are considered an advantage
