Sales Consultant – Tekla Design Software (AECO Industry)
Location:
Gauteng OR Western Cape (Candidates staying in these regions would be considered)

Travel:
National travel required (primarily Gauteng OR Western Cape)

About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for a technically minded professional with
strong commercial potential to transition into a consultative sales role within
the structural engineering and design sector.


You will work closely with engineering consultancies across
South Africa, helping them improve efficiency and performance through advanced
structural design software solutions. This role is ideal for someone who
understands the technical environment and is motivated to build a successful
career in sales.


Key Responsibilities


  • Engage
    with structural engineering consultancies to understand their design
    workflows and challenges

  • Present
    and demonstrate software solutions that enhance efficiency, collaboration,
    and accuracy

  • Deliver
    tailored product demonstrations, workshops, and client presentations

  • Build
    and maintain strong, long-term client relationships across South Africa

  • Position
    yourself as a trusted advisor within the industry

  • Stay
    up to date with industry trends and digital advancements

  • Work
    closely with internal teams to ensure successful client onboarding and
    support


Requirements


  • A relevant tertiary qualification
    (e.g. Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Marketing, or similar)

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a
    structural engineering design environment

  • Hands-on experience with
    Tekla
    Tedds and/or Tekla Structural Designer
    (essential)

  • Strong understanding of
    structural design workflows and digital processes

  • Confidence engaging with both
    technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Valid driver’s license and
    willingness to travel nationally


Advantageous


  • Experience
    with Autodesk Revit

  • Familiarity
    with Prokon software

  • Understanding
    of BIM processes

  • Existing
    network within the structural engineering industry

  • Previous
    sales experience (beneficial but not essential)
