At Focus on Furniture, we know a home is about more than how it looks. It’s where you put your feet up after a long day, squeeze everyone around the table, and sink into the sofa for one more episode.

We’re looking for a Part Time Sales Consultant who loves people, enjoys a good conversation and has a natural ability to turn “just looking” into “that’s the one”.

This part-time role offers an average of 19 hours per week, with availability required across weekdays and weekends.

What you’ll be doing

Help customers find “the one”

• Welcome customers and get to know what they’re looking for
• Ask the right questions and recommend furniture and styling solutions that suit their home, lifestyle and budget
• Share helpful, accurate advice about our products, pricing, availability and delivery
• Follow up quotes and enquiries and help customers feel confident in their choice
• Look after customer enquiries with care and a practical, can-do approach

Turn great conversations into great results

• Work towards your individual sales, conversion and productivity targets
• Confidently close sales and introduce customers to relevant add-ons, packages and finance options
• Follow up leads and quotes to make the most of every opportunity
• Celebrate the wins while always keeping the customer experience front and centre

Keep things running smoothly

• Process orders, payments and finance applications accurately
• Keep customer information and records up to date
• Help maintain stock accuracy and support the day-to-day running of the store
• Pitch in with merchandising, displays and store updates so the showroom always looks its best

Be part of the team

• Work together to achieve store goals and deliver a great customer experience
• Bring positive energy and a willingness to lend a hand
• Keep building your product knowledge and sales skills so you can give customers your best

What you’ll bring

You don’t need to know everything about furniture on day one. We’ll help with that.

What matters most is that you:

• genuinely enjoy talking to people and helping them
• have sales experience or transferable skills, with retail experience a bonus
• are confident communicating and building relationships
• enjoy working towards targets and seeing the results
• have a good eye for detail and can stay organised
• are comfortable in a busy retail environment
• enjoy being part of a team and pitching in when needed.
